A final note: I can't believe the inefficient use and distribution of equipment on those chars... You gave a knife to the monk! D: He's better off with a Nunchuck or two!
If you switch to your new jobs right away after the encounter with the crystal, it will make gameplay more efficient because your class skill will be higher than someone who first adventures as an onion kid. Also it's better to buy two extra daggers and equip to make the black wizard a more effective killer.
I like how the DS is just like the original just with improved graphics. If it had been altered to much I wouldn't really have been FF3 anymore and their for defeating the object of why I was playing it. :)
Hi! So cool you posted this vid. A question. What is the song that is played while the girl dances in the INN. Ive heard it somewhere...Thanks in advance.
I'm starting to wish they just updated the graphics like they did for Final Fantasy I and II and left the music the way it was... Final Fantasy III for the DS feels like they tried to make a new game that fell short...its still good though...I'm still playing it as I speak. lol.
Hey man. Good job with the video. I watched it b/c i was interested in the differences between the DS and the NES version. I like the DS, but I respect the NES for its historical influence, too bad it never officially came to America though
Its really interesting how the back stories of the playable characters in the NES version differs from their DS counterparts. In the NES version, all of them are orphans raised by Topapa. In the DS version, only two of them are raised by Topapa. Also, all of the main characters look to be male in the NES version, while one of them is a female in the DS version.
final fantasy 1 is on both the NES and the Famicom (Jap NES) FFII and FFIII are also in the Famicom. FFIV is where the Super Famicom came in. IV was called II in America. FFV was never released in America. Only Super Famicom. FFVI is known as FFIII in America.
I agree about liking 2D better than 3D. Why does everything have to be 3D? They think that it makes it better....anyways...look at those sick water graphics! hahaha
Well since it was the only Final Fantasy never to officially go out of Japan, Square wanted to do something special. I personally like the DS remake and it still has a 2-D vibe to it 'cause most of the traveling is done bird's-eye view.
The music on the DS is good, except the game is remade in TOTAL 3-D. I just don't like the music on the NES version because its bleepy and bloopy. The only music I ever like on the NES is the games that KONAMI made, using the VRC-6 chip and my favorite, the VRC-7 chip (They only used this chip on only one game- LAGRANGE POINT). What these chips do is add more sound channels to the music. If they wanted to remake Final Fantasy III, they should've done it on the Game Boy Advance!
You obviously haven't even played the DS version, the music for the DS version is the same as all the music in the NES one except that they remastered it to keep up with the technology instead of having the bloopy and bleepy sounds of the NES version.
This is the best FF ever ^_^

I like the NES version of Final Fantasy III more than the one on the Nintendo DS because IT IS 2-D. I absolutely HATE 3-D!

That and the music sucks in the DS version, pathetically...
Myriachan 4 years ago
The music in the DS version does not suck because it was remastered by the genius, Nobuo Uematsu.

Try doing a Remote play with the PSP and the PS3. They said that the PSP can play back video in 1080P.
