I liked this song on the Tubeway Army cd, but to me the best version of it is on White Noise. That album was an ace live, every song played perfect and his voice sounded liek a studio recording.
Excellent stuff! This entire DVD is fantastic. 20 songs plus interviews with all the band members. His live version of Bleed is sonic mayhem at its very best, it even brought a tear to my eye. Rock on Gary!
I'm in the audience!Love it!Got the dvd got the t-shirt!Dragged my hubby along to show him what real music is must have liked it cos we been to see him again at newcastle carling academy since.
I agree completely. His voice has 'matured' and is much stronger. I think he seems much more confident as well and why the hell shouldn't he be? He has outlasted most of his 'peers' from the early days, has a body of work that would make any band jealous AND has continued to evolve.
Now this is good. VERY good infact. Reminds me of many, many years ago when I saw him perform it live (in more intimate surroundings). It sent shivers up my spine then and still does now, only this time it's because he looks more like Gary Glitter than Gary Numan. Ditch the bouffant Gary love and all is forgiven. Ta ;-)
If the sound was crap, it sure was mixed well for the CD. I almost though they took his voice from a studio 20 years ago. He never sounded this good live in the 80s. What an awsome talent. Hope life is well for him.
Brilliant !

Great song - one of the first Numan songs I ever heard.
It needs a re-evaluation to fit in with the Jagged/Splinter era

Great version of the original song from his Tubeway Army album in early days. Check out that album. I think it was self titled.

Deep dark and not afraid to sing.
Beats all the frantic manic guitar bangers hands down.
Good stuff.

Fun,stupendous, awesome, dehumanised humanity, mechanized pain, sterile frailty, circutized love, great.

SWEETNESS! I, for some reason, wouldn't have thought he'd preform stuff like that in gothy concerts.
Cool version...:D

Jesus. He sounds twenty years younger. Is it the register of the song or was this a particularly brilliant concert?
