Thank you for posting this clip. I don't hate Mr. Jackson and he was misunderstood, even by Michael's own admission! Anyone that calls themselves a Michael Jackson "fan" and hates his father in a sense hates Michael, TOO. Michael came from him, is a part of him and like it or not, if it wasn't for Joseph Jackson, there'd be no MICHAEL JACKSON.

i dont think he was soo much as a GREAT father ...CHOKING YOUR KIDS , locking them up in the basement , and beating them up to get the Dancing/ singing routine right. is WRONG!!!!!! THAT IS FAR FROM GETTING A REGULAR BEATING .. you could discipline them a DIFFRENT way , then NEARLY KILLING your child .

I'm black and there's ALOT of black people who say that they got whooped from time to time for bein stupid or somethin. It's just the way we do things. My dad's a great man and he's whooped me a few times and I don't really hate him for it either. Joe Jackson only hit Michael once, and Mj threatened never to sing again. Johnny jackson lived at the house during the ealy J5 days and that was his eyewitness news. joe never hit him again. Janet Jackson said she has never seen Joe hitting any of his children and she never got any. Joe stopped practicing his children after they signed to motown. Marlon is very thankful for what joe did for him. maybe if MJ had appreciate the good in his father, his life may not have been so sad.

Thank you for this video, joe is often misunderstood and vilanized. I don't agree with most of his actions and i wish he would have shown michael more love but michael knew his father loved him. Joe raised his kids they way he knew and wanted the best for them. Michael forgave his father so i do too, the media makes it seem like michael hated him when it's not true.

I go back and forth between being a Joe Jackson supporter, mainly because Michael is just so much to me,and I don't like to hear him feel so badly so many years later,and that makes me angry at Joe.But he did it all for his family,to make sure that they came up out of what they just expected to be, he pushed them to be so great.And that is love,no matter what other way you put it.
