I love playing EB on a historical campaign as the Romani. I have one question though. Do you know how I can script the campaign so Hannibal will appear in Italy in 217 BC?
@SlyDessertFox Sorry I don't know how to do this personally, but if you search the total war forums, and head to the rome total war mods, I'm pretty sure I saw something in there before (activate historical events).
I like this mod thanks for introducing me to it, it really fleshes out the campaighn. On Vanilla I just built up one army of elite troops with ease and conquered about 7 or 8 provinces before there were just too depleted. Now I have to really plan just to conquer one province and the troop quality sucks, but that's life and it adds a great challenge.
Yes. I am playing Pontos for the first time h/m with bi.exe. I find Bactria even on m/m to be as difficult or more difficult than Pontos or Saka. Pehaps I was lucky in my campaign with ai expansion. And it is only 242BC. Things could change.
when you ended your turn for the first time, you should have said yes, because when you clicked no, your were no longer allies with parthia, but still with the seleucids, then you declared war on the seleucids anyway, so you just lost an ally.
LOL, I always do that: for some reason, the wording of those screens always gets me: each time I want to stay at peace with a faction, I accidentally declare war on them :D.
@CutiieKandiiRaver That's what the game calls them. If you have never played EB before, it will be nigh-impossible, however I've played it for some time, and I've also read quite a few guides, which explain exactly how the game functions (because it can be quite intimidating at the beginning). If you've never played EB before, you should probably play the easier campaigns first, but afterwards, you can play the harder campaigns: sometimes endless stacks of AI troops can get really annoying...
You can, but only at certain places (which makes sense). You couldn't build a military port just anywhere!
If you want to know the specifics, of where you can or can't build these ports. It's on the forum somewhere (EB FORUM - total war center). It's quite detailed, so be sure to check it out!
When you install europa barbarorum, does it mess up your vanilla rome to the point where you can't choose to play the original? and if so, is there any way for me it to not affect my vanilla rome files?
By the way. The videos you've done are good. I would love to see the continuation of this campaign. Also the only beef I have w/ your videos is that you have a really bad humming noise in the backround making it hard to hear you. It's also very distracting.
The lag is fixed in the later parts (I actually had to stop my campaign for ~1-2 months because of the horrible lag - well it was actually the low framerate which used to only happen when I recorded !?!)
The battle interface....as in when you fight the battles, controlling your troops? Then yes. You can get that in the original game. If you haven't played the original game, you've missed out on a great experience, so I would urge you to buy it.
Do you mean "is this the Europa Barbarorum mod of Barbarian Invasion?". If so, then no, this is Europa Barbarorum mod of the original Rome Total War.
If you mean, "Is this the Barbarian Invasion expansion?", then also no, this is a downloadable mod, which is not bought, and not sponsored by The Creative Assembly (but rather a team of modders/historians etc. create the game). If you have never heard of "mods" it is difficult to get your head around.
It was not intended for BI however you can easily alter the files to use either the BI or Alexander.exe file to run. Using either one will provide an improvement of the AI among other benefits like night battles.
Go to my profile and read the instructions. Also, a mod (modification) is a changing of a game. In this case the mod does not change the game's files but creates new files, so you can play both the original game and the mod without having to continuosly reinstall
love the mod. it's just hard to deal with the crashes. even with a new computer they still show up every so often.

i used to rush to 2 seleucid cities, so ithey cant spam uberleet armies and rape me, ( they are way to busy with ptolmaioi)
MrNightcall 11 months ago
I don't get why Pontos is listed as near impossible.
Egypt will give you Tarsos for peace and trade rights, and you have a few powerful phalingites near some good income cities right at the start.

@Randomer379xxxVideos So how impossible are the so-called 'Nigh Impossible' campaigns? Could you elaborate on what you said at the start?

The humming noise is due to my bad quality microphone (I will get a better one soon).
