@HunterFDavis I mainly use Brushes for iPad as well as the iPhone version due to the excellent export method it utilizes: you can print even a poster so it's ideal for professional work.
@MilitaryRaiden Well I had to step up because I work in media/concept art, comics field myself and when I see morons disliking/trashing someone with mad skillz like yourself, I have to defend my fellow mates.
@tcstille@tcstille you're not off on the likeness although I was having a sketch by John Romita jr. from Iran Man in mind when I was drawing this one ;)
@eerrrrrrfolks you can import anything from your ipad's photo albums but as far as export from the sketchbook pro for ipad app is concerned the resolution is laughable - a mere 72 ppi... If you want to do serious work better stick with Brushes app which -coupled with a Mac- can export and scale up to an enormous resolution.
@MilitaryRaiden K thanks i have an iPad and love to draw on it and i find that sketchbook pro is probably the best and brushes is not bad at all either.
@2turnage I initially was greatly partial to Sketchbook pro for the iPad as well as the iPhone. But when I needed to do serious work for my newspaper Sketchbook's paltry export option of a mere 72p completely steered me towards Brushes.
@2turnageThe latter has the Mac app called "Brushes Viewer" through which you can export at an immense size and easily get it to print dimensions/resolution as well as a .mov file. Awesome app and I'm very disappointed at Autodesk for not providing a similar solution for its supposed "pro" outing on the iOS devices...
No there isn't a way for the iPad to detect pressure but it can detect speed of stroke and react accordingly as far as variation in thickness of line is concerned.
I do have a wacom cintiq 21" but since I can't go carting it around I largely prefer to use the iPad for much of my work in illustration
@666thehazard Thanks a lot! I'm also quite thrilled with working on iPad & iPhone - I'm actually going to try and work for my newspaper long-distance this week using the Brushes app - sadly Sketchbook pro isn;t THAT much of a pro since it exports in measly 72 dpi resolution which actually kills it...
And Saosin IS awesome - first heard the song while playing Burnout: Paradise city and was so delighted!! ;D
@theax40 I might try it although I always hated charcoal as physical medium to be honest - always have been partial to pencil and mainly pen, brush and ink. At what resolutions does ASketch export by the way?
very good dude i using sketch book mobile on my iphone cuz unfortunately i can't afford an ipad but still i love the programe can u pls tell me the name of the song?
Nice drawing, by the way.

Nice drawing! Is there a way to make the lines thick and thin through applied pressure, the way you can through a Wacom tablet?

This is absolutely great.
Do you have a website with your work?

Get ASKetch for iPad. It's like this but charcoal drawing with shading and erasing. It's awesome.

@bigmoneypeppa Sorry for the late reply - the drawing is just a sketch for my next graphic novel.
First two were published here in Greece in, well, greek... :D
As far as reference it would be safe to say that I used an old drawing by John Romita Jr. from an old Iron Man comic book of late '90s or early '00s.
