what the crap is wrong with you trolls? You come here clearly looking for explosions and you whine about fire, how it's not big enough or how you think they're lying.
You're probably sitting on your computer with Funyuns in need of a shower and you think you're on some throne. Quit whining and enjoy the free and homemade explosions. sheez
Damn Why do people have to be dicks about this!!! You guys were out having fun and you posted a video of it...ROCK ON....
Yes I agree, Tannerite is only set of by a rifle round larger then 223., but this looks to be a Tannerite Cocktail....so that is cool...I agree this is a MAJOR fire hazard, so be careful guys....and KEEP ON, Keepin on
@GY6productions It does not need to be bigger than a .223 i shoot tannerite with .223 all the time. It has to do with the speed of the ammunition not the size.
My bad this is thermite, i didnt see u guys shooting, and u said u ahd gas nex tto it, my bad, and also the name of the thign i was talking abt its caleld thermite.
this isint tannerite, umm ffs i forget the anem but its part rust, like metal rust, with somehting else, if change a ltitle it can melt steel like lava without an exoposion, it has a cool name ffs i wish i culd rememebr name..
@david10291029 I think you're talking about Thermite, it's iron oxide (rust) and aluminum powder. But I don't think that kind of thermite is explosive unless contained in a shell (like a gernade) and set off with another explosive. Now, a thermite/tannerite gernade would be pretty interesting if the tannerite could ignite the thermite....
It cant b tannerite if they're setting it off with a fuze. Its designed so that it WONT go off with any kinda flame. It HAS to be a rifle round larger than a .223 I believe. (Could b a .243) But I REALLY doubt this is Tannerite. Probably some other type of explosive. Tannerite isnt that smokey nor does it flame up like that on its own.
Ah ha See I thought you were sayin you set it off with fire, that's where my argument was, but now that I watch it a second time I see that I missed the sound of the rifle being fired the first time. My apologies. And yeah it is a .223.
@RenegadeArms09 Well actually sir, tannerite is set of with high impact and that stuff, i set mine off by sticking an M80 in them and lighting a longer fuse
@RenegadeArms09 nope 223. or larger pretty much what you said is wrong ive been shooting tannerite ballistic targets for 7 years now and no it wont go off with a fuze smoke is from the gas the flame was candle and main explosion was tannerite problem solved dont belive me? doesent matter to me but maybe read a manual on tannerite or watch the dvd that comes with a box of it. good day to you
@wolvenblacktalon1 I've been using it for 5 years myself, and I know my way around it just fine. I don't care what manual you read you can take it and shove it up your ass for bein a prick. What I said wasn't wrong becuz the dvd on it simply states it cannot be set off by flames. If you found a way around that good for you I'll get you a cookie. Prick.
@RenegadeArms09 i know the star explodding targets have to be at least a 40gr. bullet going like 1200 fps or faster (i cant remember how fast its has to go) but if it only takes 40gr. than some .22s can set it off
@RenegadeArms09 Tannerite is detonated by most any high powered rifle I have shot tannerite on manny occasions with my AR shooting .223, It has to do with the speed of the round not the size.
@RenegadeArms09 Tannerite is by far the most stable binary explosive I have tried to shoot... .22-250 won't work, .223 wont, 8x57 is half and half, 7.62x54R will...
Tannerite can be tweaked to respond to 9mm Luger by adding Ammonium Perchlorate and a small amount of Manganese Dioxide, but the shelf life isn't too shabby and probably way too unstable to be safe
@RenegadeArms09 a 22 mag can actually do it but i would at least use a 223 and it isnt the energy of the bullet it is the shock i have loaded 223 bullets that shoot 3550 fps which is plenty to set it off, and then some.
hah, you gotta love tannerite, where was this filmed? All the spots I shoot (outside Portland) dont allow Tannerite anymore unless you want to risk really pissing off a Ranger and getting the place shut down. etc..
Yeah doing that shit in the sage brush desert is probably not a good idea. It'll be banned soon I'm sure, thanks to people like this.

You can detonate tannerite with a blast cap , ever think of that?
Rzaforshiza 2 years ago
@Rzaforshiza But now where in the HELL is the fun in that?
RenegadeArms09 2 years ago
Gun is the gay part, its like manually detonating something. Why not just go for the explosive?
Rzaforshiza 2 years ago
@Rzaforshiza How is the gun the gay part? Why press a stupid button or somthin when you can fire hot ass lead into it.
RenegadeArms09 2 years ago
You can detonate on first try? lol

@Rzaforshiza Yeah you can detonate on the first try with a rifle too...
