Thank God there are musicians of all races spreading the Gospel of Jazz and as youth is being musically dumbed down by techno rock and hip hop. These “white” guys are also music teachers. If it wasn’t for them, many a Black, White, Asian, Puerto Rican, let me just say North Jersey youngsters may have grown up without knowing such names as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong and Louis Jordan. Everyday was “Black History Month” in their classrooms! Do not judge a riff by its color.
