The Sherman stayed superior to anything Russian even through the 60s, with the exception of a French modelled version of the Panther's gun with HEAT rounds/a French made 105mm. Best tank of the Second World War was our Sherman.T-34, on the other hand, with ammo exposed, small compartments, optics so bad you couldn't drive without your hatch opened made the T-34 one of the worst, and easily raped tanks in Korea.

The Sherman had 51mms of casted, slopping armor, excellent crew compartments, excellent ammunition storage, a good gun that raped all German tanks in 1942 at 1,000 meters, and the 76, which raped Panthers at 1,400 meters/Tigers at 1,600 meters and had much better armor protection than the T-34. T-34 was the worst tank ever of any period. 45mms of low quality steel, a 2 manned turret, a gun that only penetrated Pz IIIs at 500m and ammo exposed.

Then she broke up with me cause I accidentally ran over her dads car when I took her back to her place. So then i had to realize that my tank was built to win wars.. and not hearts.... So I traded in my Sherman and bought a hummer instead. =)

Abrams was 1983, not 1980. And it has been upgraded since then. It's armor is up to 12 inchs thick, and depleted uranium at that. DU is the strongest known substace. Abrams sabot round is also depleted uranium and can penetrate armor at 5,000 meters and through 12 feet of sand! It's radar can pinpoint a soccer ball at that distance, or send the info via computer system to other Abrams so they can fire on the target. The tank can also move 45 MPH. This is a world class tank
@calimar28, and the Israelis copied it to make the Merkhava. We're No. 2 in the world, dude. But I doubt anybody who goes up against it these days is gonna be nit-picky. I mean, it's not like we're gonna go to war with any of the other Top Ten any time soon. lol.
