is tumbling like gymnastics, only you don't have to do the uneven bars and beam and floor routines to music and stuff like that? cuz i always wanted to be able to do stuff like that, but i gave up on gymnastics after like a year cuz i couldnt do the beam and i didnt know my routine for a show for the parents and was upset about that ( (i was only like 5!!!!)
In this sport there are three events though most people only pick one of the three to specialize in. There is Tumbling, as you saw in this video, Double Mini, and Trampoline. At the moment only one of these events are in the Olympics, which is Trampoline.

apple22jacks, actually it's a fiberglass rod floor.
a tumble track is like an extended trampoline (a bit bouncier than a rod floor)
and what your thinking of about the "spring loaded mat" that's called a spring floor and artistic gymnasts compete on that.
