1998! Time is flying by. I was 10 years old, so probably 11 or 12 when I played it the first time with my friend. We used to sit and play this, and use a type writer to keep a log on what we did and what we were supposed to do. And we had one own character each which we named and leveled the way we desired. We took turns, once it was our characters turn, that person took over the controller and played until the other one's characters' turn. Good old days, makes me almost weep of nostalgia.

@DBZWTF I was very pleased when I got the PSP version. I loved the PSX original and being able to play it on a handheld blows me away.

What a shame strategy RPGs have not had a worthy successor to FF Tactics, after 12 years.

@chopin360 lol, well yeah, I guess with the addition of characters voice, a 3d crisp dimension of graphics, and more advanced gameplay, it doesn't compare. xD

Just because it's wonderful for nostalgia and was great at the time, isn't going to convince me it was superior compared to any possibly way any game that is ever made in the future from now on.
