It ook me ages to figure that out. At first I assumed it was about an ex or a sibling. :/

I keep trying to figure out what the jagged trail of electricity is about. Maybe it's a metaphor for lines on a heart monitor- the lifeline of his newborn child versus the distance he has to go to get to him.

I thought the fact that he's walking instead of running was odd at first considering the song's underlying meaning. Maybe that's just symbolic of his fear that he's already too late?

Sorry. I have this crazy habit of looking for meaning in things like music and art rather than just taking everything at an enjoyably vapid face value.

Call me idealistic, but I say music is meant to be interpreted.

If nobody ever read into anything, YouTube and every other media outlet in existence would become a virtual wasteland of indifference ranging from "I like it" , to "I don't" to "Whatever."
