  • Buena la banda. Me ha gustado bastante.

  • "The seaside was magic,

watching the tide dribbling mysteries of foam,

exploring the weird alien worlds of tidepools and comics.

And then at night, the funfair"

  • Sound like The Byrds.

  • Very 60s...nice.

  • @zxcvbnm974

Mate, music is never dead, it's just hidden behind the rubbish spoonfed to the public by the media. You just need to know where to look.

The Coral - great band, great example

  • amazing... :)

  • it's just not weird enough, i miss bill r j

  • wow, what a great sound

  • 1:57 best bit

  • Reminds me of Echoes by Pink Floyd... beautiful!

  • beautiful

  • It's funny because ronaldwitt is wrong

  • Reminds me of Moody Blues. Very 60s. Alright!

  • 1 Dislike? You're a prick.

  • about the twentieth time today i ave listened to this jetador poomplexon as a french person would say what a tune

  • @gremlinfeatures YES ! ;D So , SHARE THIS VIDEO ON FACEBOOK and everywhere else for your French friends ! OK ? GOooooooooooooooo !!! ***************** PARTAGEZ CETTE VIDEO SUR FACEBOOK et ailleurs pour vos amis ! ALLEZ Y ! ;O)

  • can't stop listening to this

  • awwwwwww they r soo cute

  • 45,858 views and hardly know comments what a song this should of been the single or they could of had a double single in this with "1000 years" actually id like to coral to bring out two double singles you know just to get they're music out there.

  • @dfstarborn

Spot on mate - if they just promoted themselves more, or thats probably the promoters /record company's job - this album is right up there with 'Invisible invasion' for me - proper fuckin music, I don't even know what a 'Tinie Tempah' is - maybe summat my 3 year old gets......

  • @partridgezombie71

The next album will be more rockier and you'd never know they just might bring out a double single if we ask them to on twitter its a good idea.

  • Probably the best band out of Liverpool area since The Beatles...Obviously a loud statement but man to man this band is as good they come. With or without Bill Ryder Jones. Lee Southall is an incredible guitarist(listen to him on Roving Jewel) and Ian Skelly is such a hidden gem behind that set. Long live The Coral!

  • @fletchdies they ain"t scousers, they"re woolybacks! from Wirral

  • @dan32113

I said they were scousers? I think you have the wrong person.

  • @fletchdies better to say Merseyside, because Liverpool area? will make people think of Liverpool. There not from the Liverpool area, they are from Merseyside on the wirral penisula. FACT

  • @fletchdies how can you forget the la's...shack...both of them have made unfforgettable records...but this record is fuckin amazin like!

  • gute handgemachte Musik, stark angelehnt an die Pilzköpfe aus Liverpool, wer the Coral mag sollte sich auch mal fleet foxes anhören und great lake swimmers.

  • @ulmerebbo ...yeah fleet foxes are very good ...i can't wait for their next album... but...fleet foxes are "nearly" gregorian in some rare times... From a sci-fi point of vue : it's a band from the XVst century who were transported in our modern days (just don't ask me how?) and they listened to alot of albums from the 50s to now... in just a few intense months... then they became officially... Fleet foxes... original bio hehe!

  • brilliant song, as is 1000 years, the influence of crosby-stills-nash is obvious though, and i love it

  • This tune make me calm ♥

  • loving the new sound

  • Love this song its amazing

  • i haven't felt like this since hearing the stone roses album, for the second or third time, back in the day...

    killer album... grows and grows

  • Comment removed

  • Gorgeous and thoughtful piece of music, as is the whole album. The Coral come of age!

  • top band, top tune, going to see them at lowry tomoz, cant wait, they are one of the most consistance bands out there, put razorlight or kooks up against these, no comparison if you no your music.

  • as i begin to think music is finaly dead, with no money going to REAL music, and money only in mtv, radio one and x factor, i get a ray of hope, a glimmer from the past from one of the greatest bands ever to truely reach me.

    THE CORAL ARE BACK!!!

  • @zxcvbnm974 I read the NME list and listened to the underrated list last night, and had to hear this band because it was mentioned by so many people who posted responses to the article. I should have listened to an old friend who said that NME were no longer tastemakers, but just an outlet for a generation of dullards playing follow the leader. This is nothing more than a lame boring rip off of the Byrds. It isn't progressive, unusual or new at all, and it isn't even interesting classicism.

  • @ronaldwitt

There is no such thing as new music. Everything is based on something else, even the bands you hold dear. Just be glad some bands are playing quality music and enjoy their version of it.

  • @RPeanut1 You clearly have not studied the history of art through the centuries. Art is always based on what has gone before, there are always innovators who improvise and synthesize and create new things from old tropes. Then there are people who merely tread water and simply and boringly emulate what has gone before while offering nothing new whatsoever.

There is such a thing as bad music, and this band is a shining example of everything that is wrong in contemporary indie pop. This band sucks.

  • @ronaldwitt

In danger of trolling this thread, maybe if you don't like this band you shouldn't even bother posting here. (emphasis on the trolling bit). I know I just bypass things I don't like but hey that's just me.

Back to the point, no I haven't studied the history of art through the ages and I bet many of the bands you may like have not either. I am not trying to change your mind here, I really don't care if you like this or that, what I do mind is lack of respect for the people that do.

  • @RPeanut1 Trolling, in concept & usage, should be banned from the English language (Matt Groening, where are you?). This is about freedom of speech. There is no disrespect in critique of art. What is disrespectful is to imply (as you did passive aggressively) that ANYONE is a troll & deny that right. The self esteem movement in modern education has actually had the opposite effect: Geny Y has low self esteem, no ability to handle constructive criticism & tell others to shut up. Appalling.

  • @RPeanut1

So basically what you're saying is that you can't appreciate a band unless they have in some way evolved an existing genre?

Coral play a style of music, it may not be innovative but have they ever claimed it to be? It would appear narrow minded to suggest there is no merit in their homage. After all, they have hardly picked the most commercially viable genre to take inspiration from.

  • @ronaldwitt

"this band is a shining example of everything that is wrong in contemporary indie pop. This band sucks."

    A shining example of disrespect...

Alot of people seem to think of this music as good, otherwise they wouldn't be spending their money on it and allow the band to produce more albums. I think it is important to realize we life in a world of relative perceptions, there is no absolute reality. At least not from a human point of view. This is especially true in art.

  • @Oresukos As great spiritual leaders paraphrased by Joseph Campbell: "I'm not here to coddle you, I'm here to kill you." It takes an idiot to think that financial success is any arbiter of artistic quality (by that logic, we should all hail Britney and 30 Seconds to Mars as great art). This band is a product of the media age and possesses no artistic integrity or independent credentials. It's lifeless. Bland. Repetitive. Derivative. Boring. Useless. Lyrically impotent. Just listen. It's lame.

  • @ronaldwitt

Yet you seem to come back to this time and time again... oh sorry it's to reply yeah i forgot. Some people come here to listen to the song.

  • @RPeanut1 I know. What a bunch of fucking idiots, trawling the depths for coral and coming up empty again and again and again.

  • @zxcvbnm974 You are so right on! Their music just blows me away. Best new music I have heard in years. Long may they reign.

  • This is very good but disturbingly the ending is almost identical to "Long Dark River" by Stackridge which was released a year ago. Could it be that The Coral are influenced by Stackridge - no reason why new young bands should not show respect to a veteran English band. Also proves how contemporary Stackridge still are

  • this is such brilliant music.i am loveing it very much indeed.

  • I think a tour of the Coral and Fleet Foxes would be brilliant

  • If this song and 1000 Years are anything to go by this album is going to be a classic. Well done boys!

  • wow

  • A new brilliant song from Tne Coral!

    Thank you for the upload!

  • sounds a nod towards fairport or the byrds......which is always goin in the right direction................fuckin love em!

  • Simply Superb!!!

  • Quality as ever!!

  • Such a tune this.. a free download as well!

Loads better than 1000 years for me.. Although that's growing on me now

  • Now this is fucking Amazing!

  • excellent

  • 8459 hits already wow what a great song there is such an interest in this song from the fans i think the coral can still release it as a single with b-sides id buy 10 of them for friends and family i know they'd love this perfect breezy summers song its genius the vocals and harmony's along with the 6 or 7 changes are amazing and so interesting i love this track im going to give it song of the month by a country mile.

  • 2 great songs, this and 1000 years.great band.. im happy they're not as big as they should be coz we get to see them in small venues rather than big fields

  • @112Cor112 great comment!

  • Anyone knows if the lyrics of Butterfly House are available? ^^

  • already a classic !

  • Changed my mind on 1000 years its a great song but im still think butterfly house would have been better single so i removed my negative comments about 1000 years i guess it took its time to grow in my head now its blossomed great song and i will buy the new single.

  • a ship come's in to a half moon town wow the coral is the best lets all meet at the butterfly house dang this would of been the best single release of the summer.

The Coral ye should of asked me first what single to release i would of picked this a thousand times and on to infinity wow its even better now and this is my thousand time listening to it.

  • woooo love the single 1000 years and Butterfly House!!!

Thank you to The Coral for giving us all a free download and taster for what promises to be a Great Album. The two songs are great summer songs!!! Lovin the album and single covers too, nice art work ;-) Long Live The Coral ! x

  • Butterfly House AND 1000 years both sound brilliant to me - looking forward to the new album massively - they never dissapoint me.The Coral are Back.AGAIN !

  • the coral have fans outsides the UK I thought i was the only one and i live in the woods' hick hick you'd better start squealing like a big boy, daddy's coming to dinner oh dear sorry split personality thing there im back now normal again lol

  • @dfstarborn I sense your frustation but really there's nothing you can do to alter what will be. Being a fan of a band is hard as ultimately you have no control over anything that happens as you aren't in the band, simple as that. might be best if you listen to the old stuff and leave the coral be to do whatever direction they want to take.

  • this song is amazing wow it keeps getting better and better id have bought 10 singles of this for my friends what shame.

  • lol i think the invisible invasion is amazing and i thought something in side of me would to amazing things but i think it only got to 40 i can't understand why the fans dont buy all the singles when the b-sides are so good oh dear ill never figure it out.

  • @dfstarborn lol maybe because some of their fans live outside UK and just can't get them? :)

  • Comment removed

  • Oh c'mon people! A 1000years is not THAT bad, true-it's not as good as Butterfly House but it's not a crap. Daamn, I can't wait for the album.

  • @realgaze

when you promote the album you should come out with your strongest single truth is if this was a b-side id be disappointed with it and yes its a dreadful single.

  • @dfstarborn They picked it 4 single anyway that means they liked it. You can do nothing about that, just hope they'll have better second single. Stop moanig man - if you don't like it -don't listen to it. Just enjoy the rest of their music.

And yeah, probably their producers are shit (no offence)

  • @realgaze

Ill speak my honest opinion when ever i choose to if i think its a poor single i mean it, they are badly managed and will never be successful the singles off the last album were bad choices as well i think they are an amazing band but cowards when it comes to releasing singles as they tend to release radio friendly singles just 2 minutes man i think Ive earned the right to be pissed off as i have all they're singles and albums thank you.

  • @dfstarborn ok, if you say so, I respect your opinion.

Anyway they could be huge but I think they're just happy with all they have now.

  • @realgaze

no they'd have to get rid of those awful haircuts lol but on a serious note i think they committed commercial suicide with this song as its very weak im trying to say what person outside of the fan base is going to be attracted to buy this album with such a weak single release and i guarantee you that when you hear it you'll say fck why didn't they release this song or that song as the promoter for the album you get my drift its not a hate thing with me its a frustration thing.

  • @dfstarborn what? I love their haircuts. I'm actually happy that they're not like the other 'supercool bands' with fancy hair and designer clothes. Just look at their movies or album artworks - it's awesome yet not very mainstream or commercial. And yeah I'm afraid people outside of the fan base probably know only 'Dreaming of you' because it was on Scrubs.

  • @realgaze

None of my friends are into the coral i guess they don't get the coral and what there about the coral just play there song's and leave i saw them in Dublin and they were amazing but very disconnected from the crowd it was just like listening to a very good live cd without the communication, still they are making it hard on themselves with this single i can't see it catching any new fans id like to know what you really think of the song honestly.

  • @dfstarborn It has very '60s sound, quite trippy actually, nice guitar solo, maybe not their best but still got something in it. I might like it after a few listenings. After my first listening to Invisible Invasion I hated it, I was so disappointed but now this is my favourite album. Unfortunately I was able to see them only once in 2003 so I don't know much about their gigs but I think they're quite shy and very, very humble and that's why they act like that.

  • @dfstarborn

Do you understand Butterfly house is a very perfect summer song and would of been the perfect single to promote the new album instead we get the very average 1,000 years can you not even agree with this.

ill make a statement ok i bet the b-sides are better than the single and that this single is the worst on the album

  • A twist in their sound........kind of Age of Aquarius.....love it!

  • Hold on mate if there ever going to make it they have to put out there best stuff how is this near anything they have put out in the past it is a dreadful song its the same the whole way true i know what i hear and its crap plus butterfly house would be much better for the radio and its an interesting song full of harmony and at least 5 or 6 changes 2 keep it interesting i left the coral a message that if they release it im not buying its as its to week for a single didn't wait 2 years 4 that

  • @dfstarborn sure their gutted like

  • 1. More Than A Lover 2. Roving Jewel 3. Walking In The Winter 4. Sandhills 5. Butterfly House 6. Green Is The Colour 7. Falling All Around You 8. Two Faces 9. She's Comin' Around 10. 1000 Years 11. Coney Island 12. North Parade
  • @NeonPandaNL

why was your comment about the new coral song removed its a great song one of the best summers songs ive ever heard it gets better with each listen.

  • @dfstarborn

It's actually my other account on youtube. I logged and commented on the wrong one. ^^

  • The manager should be sacked for leaving this song be release as a free download as this would go straight to no. 1 and stay there for a month its the best summer song i've heard in a long time it's way better than In the morning and that was a great tune. oh dear i hope the rest of the songs can live up to this Butterfly house non single as its an amazing song.

  • @dfstarborn it wouldnt go to no 1 guitar bands just arent making a dent on the top 40 these days sadly

  • I can't wait for the new album!

  • One of the best British bands of the 00s. Simple as that really.

  • i bet they will release 3 of the radio friendly songs as usual while the best song's are left only to the fans that buy the album sometimes i question they're singles oh ya prob they're b-sides will be better than the singles but why they didn't not release this as a single for the charts i don't know as its the perfect song and great for that summer feeling but there you go again lads if there is another song on the album thats as good as this ill eat the rabbit out of the hat.

  • what a song my dear lord what a tune id buy this as a single i hope they release they're best songs now and fck the radio friendly shit they should put there money where they're mouths are now no more messing around come on the coral this is one of the best songs ive heard since gina jones wow what a song, sounds like the byrds

  • Can't wait! :')

  • The coral are back! Thank god.

  • yeah, amazing song

  • AWESOME SONG! Keep it coming The Coral. I'm really looking forward to hear the other songs. I'm still listening to the live version on youtube of The Rovin' Jewel. That song is massive too! Great guitar play.

I hope The Coral will visit Lowlands 2010 at The Netherlands this year. Hehe!
