I trained every other day and was lifting heavy (compound exercises) every workout after 2 months I had to take a week rest because my wrists, forearms, lower-back and shoulders where hurting too much. If You lift heavy then moderate every workout cycle you are working on Your red and white muscle tissue so You are going for strength and size.

  • @crownme9 I would go light to medium weight with tons of reps. For the supplements I would do protein, creatine, a pre-workout supplement, and eat healthy, only cheat on rare occasions. Let's see if twinmuscleworkout agrees or has something else to change up from what I said.

    like i said i normally can catch my breath after my workouts i take just 2 scoops of nos normally. today i took 2 scoops of nos and my neighbor gave me a pre workout i forget what is was. today i would say i did some more exercises than normal. my question is Can the caffine in the pre workouts cuz me to have trouble catching breathe. i took me over an hour when i got home to catch my breath dont wannaDIE

  • Hey guys, Im not sure if you guys respond to comments much but I've been wondering this question for a while. Would it be effective to do low reps 4-6 reps 1 week mainly for strength on a 5 day split, for ex: Mon: Legs, Tues: Back , etc.. and then the following week repeat the same thing except changing the reps to either 8-12 reps for muscle, or once in a while 12-25 reps for endurance? Thanks.

  • Hodge twins I FUCKED UP! I was at work yesterday and my dumbass fell and slipped on the stairs. I landed on my lower back on the left side and I'm in FUCKIN PAIN. Most of all I just started lifting weights 4 months ago following all your advice and have been experiencing some amazing mass / muscle gains. Heavy weights convinces the muscles to actually thicken the muscle fibers. You can lift heavy on each workout without injury. But if you train to failure while going heavy, then yeah your fucking stupid. You stop your set when the acceleration of the weight slows down or you lose power on the contraction of the muscle

His goal is to get his 40 time to 4.8 secs. before next season. His max bench press is 345 lbs. He squats 470lbs. and cleans 225lbs. He has been brought up to Varsity for the playoffs.

  • You shouldn't ask this question as "light weight", but as "high reps". Light weight will be different for every single person. The number of reps however will be considered low and high more or less for every one. High reps is everything over 8, low reps is everything under, more or less.

    And the answer is simple then; you can build muscle using high reps as much as using low reps. The key to building muscle is muscle exhaustion, no matter what wheight or number of reps. :)

  • @regardzz you definitely can loose weight by just lifting weights and not doing cardio. As long as you make sure you have a caloriedeficit. Ofcourse you also have to eat clean, and eat enough protein. Did it myself last summer, workt perfectly.

Sure I´m a light weighter so i can´t lift as heavy as these guys since they are bigger. But still, 20-24 reps on 225 is much. But maybe I´m stronger than them on other exercises. Who knows.

You pust 220 - 280 pounds, another person 120 to 150 pounds. I do bopdybuilding since I was 16! I never did bernch rpess heavier as 190 pounds for one two reps, and for sets of 10 I did usually 130 pounds. So what? I was never injured I trainde 5-6 times a week; now I train 4x a week. HEAVY in a perfect TECHNIC using muscles not tandons!
