10 years of guest workers sure have been good for the U.S. economy.

Bloomberg reported today:

"The number of Silicon Valley jobs was down 8,200 in August from this year's high point. Unemployment hadn't rebounded to its highs of this decade after more than 100,000 jobs were lost from 2000 to 2002, and the region doesn't face Wall Street's risk of losing finance jobs."

So much for Indians "helping the U.S. economy". Funny how before you got here our economy was booming.

"Agenda for shared prosperity" == communism. Take the prosperity Americans created and give it away to other lazy countries like India and China.

Why work or invent a new industry when you can just steal using guest workers and currency manipulation?

Go Mr. Durbin! I'm very glad to see someone FINALLY address this intelligently, with FACTS. America's middle class is slowly dwindling, and it is abuse of H1B/L1 programs (and outsourcing, and offshoring) which is one of the primary causes.

Think India would like it if Americans came over to their country and lived like kings, above everyone elses caste? Hell No. You'd see riots in the streets.

ALL AMERICANS AGAINST H1B TAKE THIS:Your global companies sell products globally causing loss of local businesses and jobs. then these companies pay tax in usa and you enjoy that tax. Don't you. so you want globalization go one way only for your benefit but dont want it to come towards you...grow up and think balanced....

Kill H1B and fire all the doctors from Asia and Europe who are cheap(300k yearly)..

Then see how your Medical costs go up with American doctors who then will earn(700k yearly) those Medical costs with which America is already struggling right now.

med costs are from for-profit insurance companies in the states. uk, canada, france and other countries have free health care and their economies are not dependent on cheap imported labor.

Yes, I have visited a local hospital - the U.S. healthcare system is falling apart. Thanks guest workers. We pay you and you don't do the job. How much money from the USA do you send home every month?
