To possibly settle some of the "who wrote certain songs" question.. According to the credits on the inside of the album.. "Whispered Words" was written by Charles Auerbach, and "When the Night Comes" was written by both Dan and Charles Auerbach..

Also:

"I Want Some More" was written by Wayne Carson Thompson

"Because I should" was written by Dan Auerbach and Mark Neill (although this track is something of an instrumental so I'm not sure if it matters that Mark Neill was involved)

@PsychoticGirl415 His dad wrote the words. I read in an interview or heard on his NPR interview (can't remember which) that his dad writes poetry and stuff. He said it was really cool to play it for his dad so that he could hear the melody and music Dan set his words too. Loooove me some Dan Auerbach and TBK.

@garzerax seems to be a lot of bullshit circulating that his dad wrote the songs back in the 60s or some shit. his dad has only been writing songs for a few years, and according to dan 'he's not musical' so give the lyrics to dan to do what he will with them. the words for this song (and i believe some on 'when the night comes') are his dad's, and all the music is his. seems to be a good system ;)
