I've so been considering going raw lately, mostly for the health benefits. My only drawback is my fiance refuses to take meat out of his diet so it makes it especially difficult, if i choose to go raw it seems the grocery bill would be so much more with buying meat and more veggie. Any info. about anyone else that has had similar drawbacks? btw, Lori I love watching your videos, and I've gotten such great resources from watching them. thanks for sharing!
Oh wow! I don't know how raw foodists and meat eaters work in the meal prep world. I know you are faced with a challenge. Perhaps he can eat mostly raw and keeps SOME of his meat. I am so glad I have been able to help through my videos!
If you're concerned about budget (and quality!) I recommend checking out your local CSA (community supported agriculture) programs! They are so wonderful, I just signed up last week. Farmers markets are great too.
Some farms offer activities like "pick-your-own" fruits/veggies and those are always fun.
Try to find a median with your fiance. Have him eat salads before his regular cooked, meaty meals. Eventually, his body will start telling him that he doesn't want that meat afterwards.
I only do recipes like this when I have a social gathering or potluck. Most days are veggie juice, green smoothies, fresh fruits & veggies. But evey now & then it's a great way to introduce non raw peeps into this lifestyle. Plus the kids have fun playing in the kitchen. Hope that helps
i understand. thanks. but im new i wow im looking for easy. not trying to make look alike foods..that im not eating any longer. thanks so much for being here tho. seriously thanks.
Check out 80/10/10 by Douglas Graham. Very simple. Check out 30 bananas a day website. Also see my playlist for an interview w/ Douglas Graham. Lots of athletic peeps eating simple clean raw. Leafy greens & lots of fruit, little fat, no salt or spices.
This looks like something I'll for sure be trying out! :)
Crazy to think I just went from "protein type" (Metabolic Typing Diet) to 100% vegan, and about 85% raw! I'm doing the "Gerson Plus Therapy" right now to help with some of the heart issues I've been having. And so far - so good! :)
did you use a fennel spice or the actual fennel for your date-and-nut mixture?
