Why didn't Obama fight HARDER to keep the public option? Yeah, it's great that we regulated insurance to end arbitrary caps on coverage and whatnot, but it didn't CHANGE the market overall. It's still a fairly private, monopolistic insurance market out there. At least the public option would give you a REAL choice, so you wouldn't have to deal with Cigna or Wellpoint or any of those other jackasses who have INCENTIVES to deny you care rather than make you better.
