This movie is fantastic... it didn't actually scare me, although it made me jump in some parts. I mean, you get disturbed as you watch the guy trying everything he can to get out of the 1408, and the room just won't let him. At some point, you get as desperate as Mike to get out of the room. This movie is the concrete proof that a horror movie doesn't have to be "scary" to be a brilliant horror movie. I'm absolutely stunned. Amazing movie :)

Putting aside how creepy or evil the room is, that's a pretty nice hotel room he's staying in. It has a well stocked mini-bar. Over-priced though ($8 for beer nuts).
