While NFL may be a more strategic game, I couldn't argue it requires more skill than say soccer. How much skill does blocking take opposed to dribbling, connecting on crosses, free kicks, etc. NFL is more about coaching and soccer is more about playing. I love both sports.

hockey is played on a rock hard surface with blades that can cut so I don't think it should be played without pads but nfl could be. if rugby players can play 80 mins with only 10 mins break with no protection being hit by 280 pound guys than the nfl could do the same even with their breaks every 2 mins. most rugby players have facial scars and broken noses, they look like boxers. nfl players don't have a scratch on them.

Soccer for euro trash? It's the biggest sport in all Africa, The Middle East, Asia and South America as well as Europe. Nobody outside USA gives a crap about the NFL. Maybe if you took off the pussy pads it might be more popular but then again you would then run the risk of one of your players injuring their vagina.

I'm not going to defend football to feverishly here, since I am not a giant booster of the sport, but saying it's a "bad" sport because they have pads is ridiculous.
Would you feel that ice hockey should be played without pads? Would that make it a "better" sport? Because you're insane if that's what you truly believe, and most likely someone who's never put on skates to play.

hockey is played on a rock hard surface with blades that can cut so I don't think it should be played without pads but nfl could be. if rugby players can play 80 mins with only 10 mins break with no protection being hit by 280 pound guys than the nfl could do the same even with their breaks every 2 mins. most rugby players have facial scars and broken noses, they look like boxers. nfl players don't have a scratch on them.

American Football Takes no SKILL what so ever, there might be Lots of tactics involved but to play English Football(soccer)you actully have to have TALENT, something you dont need to play american football were all you need is to be well built and have a strong arm so that you can chuck a ball a long distance.

i posted this earlier, but it's hard to argue that NFL requires more skill than soccer. blocking requires only brute force, whereas dribbling, passing, set pieces require actually athleticism. NFL is more coaching, soccer is more playing.
