daaaamn!!! i thought an amount of car crashes ive seen were crazy. but with all the weight to throw around these things are nuts when thier out of control...
@barneynward It wasn't fatal. As the commentator said, the cockpits of these trucks are designed to "detach" from the chassis in case of heavy impact. In fact, the guy in the black flying cockpit was unhurt. The hurt pilot was sandwiched between two trucks; it could be worse becouse he was soaked in oil.
Nope. The narrator is telling how safe these trucks are. He says the cockpit is a safety capsule that is made to detach from the chassis in case of accident, just to protect the driver.
just because u can speak... doesn't mean you should.... have u not stopped to think.... maybe this has a fan base. and it's no more risky then going 200mph in an F1 car.... certainly far less risky then going 200 mph on 2 wheels :S
I don't think that they're heavy to steer but it may be something to do with understeering... Not sure but it looks like it when I've seen and looked these truck races. Although you're able to drive them in powerslide too it seems that the trucks first "reaction" when steering as quickly as possible is understeer.
the stupid thing about truck racing is that they use regular race tracks that normal cars use. so you can barely fit two trucks side by side. btw that crash was awesome
Jeez though, this shunt is massive!!! And I agree with the other comments here, pace helicopter is very very cool ....but you can't fly them under gantries!
To AstraJOM. I have seen a pileup at race start. It was F1 race at Spa-Francorchamps in 1998. Start was given in terrible rain. After a few curves Jacques Villeneuve hit the wall and in few seckonds there was a lot of wheels and other stuff flying around.

@racerdsm14391 - You forgot Formula 1, MotoGP, V8Supercars, BTCC...
JBofBrisbane 9 months ago
Well.. Formula 1 is boring.
Indycar is like easy version of F1: no turning right , just sometimes left turns.
Then the NHRA, what can I say..? It's total bullshit. No talent needed, the guy who has most money wins...
Nascar is real racing, sometimes it's really nice to watch. Lots of passing there, not boring.
Then, truck racing is REAL racing.. There you need the talent, because if something goes wrong, it goes HEAVILY wrong.
Rallycross is the most entertaining form of racing.
LolzeroDePP 3 months ago
@kazimann - neither are tintops, but we race them too.
BTW - prime movers are NOT "lorries".

they are big and heavy. for racing devices... and large engines over the front wheels = forward motion. and it takes a bit to change the direction..
