Cried reading My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I just got done reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and it is really good and I'm going to watch the Swedish and American film. But I should really recommend checking out one book: Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher. Really a hard topic to go through. BUT it is very VERY creative! Its a bit short. But bring tissues. It isn't easy go through.

You should read some more YA novels, depending on what genres you gravitate to more. I'm 22 and I love the deep cut novels, the adult novels, romance novels and YA novels. Sometimes they tend to be better than others because now-a-days, they're marketed for a bigger demographic AND a lot of authors are tuned in to the fact that their books could become movies.
Is it just me or is the movie of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo better than the movie (*gasp* such blasphemy lol). The book was just way too heavy on exposition for my liking. I felt that some background detail that could have been told in a paragraph went on unnecessarily for a page or two. The movie was to the point while still giving us a detailed look on the story and its characters.

There are more about Mikey Haller aka Lincoln Lawyer. Ian Fleming was the awesome Spook who invested 007 in '53's CAsino ROyale. THere's also Dennis Lehane and his PI's Kenzie & Genarro. Really gritty. MYstic Ruver, so far so good, im reading right now. Linda BArnes and Tess Gerritsen are also really good mystery writers, tess is darker

I really didn't like the last hunger games book, like many other people. I somehow found it really rushed but I guess it wasn't the rest final book to a series. This is a bit odd but it kind of reminds me of 1984 by Geroge Orwell in a way. Haha, now that it's summer, I've been only reading books that involve absoloutely no thinking like the Pretty Little Liars series.

@beautybudget88 Well, 1984 is a bit slow and it's more of what you get out of the book. The actual content of the book is a bit dulling but I liked the themes and the motives of the book. I definetly recommend it even just for knowledge but it's not a fun book to read, i read it for school.
i really really really miss reading the books i WANT to read. i havent been able to because all i have time to read is text books for english and history hw :( even right now during the summer im reading a book about war that im forced to read for an AP english class with 30+ page assignments :'( when will teachers give me a break and let me read books i WANT to read! :(

I have to read Zeitoun by Dave Eggers for college. It is about a Muslim family dealing w Hurricane Katrina. One of my fav books of all time is The Handmaid's Tale. It is really dark and makes one think about our society. It is about America turning into a theocracy and women losing all rights. My overview probably made it sound bad, but you should read it!!

I'm in love with the Harlequin series. Or well.. It's a publishing company, not a series. But it publishes bestsellers and they're awesome. For example The Last Noel by.. Heather Graham. And the Cat Dupree books by Sharon Sala are really good too.

when you liked the stieg larson book ´s you should try the wallander sieres by henning mankell 10 really good books kind of dark as well but good

i'm about to get The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo book and the other's in the series.. i saw the original movies and i CAN NOT WAIT to see the American remake. the movies were so amazing and I've heard amazing things about the book's too.

You might want to check out Black, from the circle trilogy. It's and adult book. The first is black, then red, then white.
