According to the local paper, the man was confronting people in the parking lot, demanding food or money and preventing them from getting in their cars. He also was yelling at people to stop and put their hands up, while referring to himself as "the father." You can't hear through the window, but the officer apparently repeatedly asked the man to turn around, and the man refused. He swore at the officer, said he wasn't afraid and that the taser wouldn't hurt him.

One was the city of Chicago suspended tasers because a 14 and 54 year old had heart attacks. Later in the article it showed there were well over 200 in use until the city suspended the use to test it further. 2 in 200 tasers is not killing often. Other article tried but never validated their arguments. Respect the law!
