No dis to RV intended. Great song with brilliant sing-along chorus. But it's basically a waltz with Patton acting a character. Every other song on Angel Dust is pure creativity at very level from the ground up. In 91, limited space on a CD, so they had to make painful choices.

@joequirk wasnt it just that they were unable to get copyright for the many samples in time for albums release, RV is a great song and as great as anything else on the album, probably too different for most rock fans to deal with, the time signiture has nothing to do with anything

@davejago yeah, copyright for the samples was the decider, I hear. Guess I'm just straining my imagination to fit this masterpiece on there. Best would be if this, Easy, RV, and Another Body Murdered where all on Angel Dust.

@joequirk I thought they just didnt have enough space for it. When I heard it I thought they should have made Smaller and Smaller a b side and put this on the album instead. It would have fit very nicely on AD, it's such great track with a very heavy 'AD feel' to it. Although I like Kindergarten, that would have also been a wise trade.

RV was an amazing song just like every other one on the album. angel dust is one of the few albums where every song is timeless. haha thats why its my favorite album of all time. the only way to make it better is by squeezing this gem in somewhere, but no replacing. thats just fucked up.
