Here's another scenario. Just roll forward 30 years. Whose format is going to be still viewable. Film or Digital? Film can always be scanned, it is a future proof format although film is expensive to buy and process. The digital video formats are always changing as are the cameras. Buy a £3000 camera today and in 5 years it'll be worth less than hal what you paid for it. Buy a film camera and you will get your money back. I've got a decent Bolex SBM with 2 motors and 2 400ft mags!
