Hey Serge, like your playing! I guess you have been playing for about 4 years? I was wondering, how much was your electric grand including the piano and the bench?
Nice work - I appreciate how you play those detached notes instead of staccato. Overall you have maintained a steady tempo without being affacted by those tiny mistakes. The only comment is that you should trust yourself and play it with your maximum confidence. From the video it seemed at you were not affected by those tiny errors, but confidence will help you a lot for sure to make it a better piece.
Thank you so much for uploading. Watching the videos of the six year olds playing is a bit hard on the ego.. I'm having difficulty with the fingering on the left hand. Which fingers do you start with (the g/b)? 2 and 4?
Nice performance , pal !! I've been learning piano for 9 months. This song is my very first "challenge" since i started. Your performance will help me a lot. Especially with the last measures of the song.
Hey Serge, I'm glad you kept this video online. I now can play this piece better than the performance on this video. That wasn't always true. And from pianoworld, I know you've advanced far beyond this as well. Kinda cool to have a measuring stick to see how far we've come along.
I am learning this too and it's starting to come together slowly now.
As for rushing on the grace notes, it sound pretty good to me. If i could play in G major as well as the gentleman playing, I would be well pleased with myself
you should try playing it slightly slower to prevent yourself from stopping ...I learn both the piano and violin..but I only learned how to play this song on the violin
you should check out minuet in G minor, its main melody its similar to this one, but, well, minor. also bourree is in somewhat the same style. check them out

Wow..
i wonder how does he feel in that moment.
looking the way he played that easy menuet, looks like that's alwasy he wanted to do all his life, and he never did it. Now, he is sitting down in a piano, making real his dream =)
Nice performance! Don't worry about those missed notes. A small suggestion however: don't change the tempo too much, play the whole piece in a tempo you can handle. This gentle piece should be played in quite a steady but light-footed rhythm. And *almost* bind those last notes in the bass, now they're too close to portato ;)
Very nice! A mistake towards the beginning and a bit later on, but I expect you knew that.
I have very fond memories of this piece - I was about twelve when I learned it, and it was the first classical piece I ever played. I dropped piano a few years ago but I'd love to go back and relearn this piece. All in all, very nice.

wow. there sure are a lot of idiots on here who think that with age comes knowledge. as a late beginner ( 6 months in and im working on this piece ) i think it's great :D i appreciate this video because i learn best by ear and hearing it played properly helps tremendously so thank you.
er...why is a man playing such a easy song??? My 10 year old brother is already learning that song!!! But anyways, nice playing! Keep it up!!! Few mistakes, I think only one...love your playing1 :D
everything ok in your head ? not all of us started playing piano with 8 or 10 years of our age. i have started playing it when i was 19 .. from zero .. havent even knew the basic C D E F G A H. this song is quite hard for me .. but im determin to learn it ;) regard
When did you start learning? I'm not gonna be offensive, and of course it's not brilliant, but if u began learning recently (within a few years considering your (only a little bit older) age) this is great progress mate. Keep it up! Piano is brilliant.
You are doing great, the only suggestion, which I got from my piano teacher, is to try not moving your hand when you are going from G to G, and just to stretch your hand out, I am 14 so its possible. Other then that, you are doing great.
Its kinda hard to start, i learn one hand at a time then try to put them together after i have both down solid. Umm, im not a piano major or anything, im a flute person but still, it might work.
y do people always do that 'well if u ask me' i guess it human nature! i thought u played it well! not after any oscars are ya..so what does it matter if tempo changes bla bla bla
