My Zoom for kinect is terrible. I've followed all manuals, tried all angles, tried above TV, below TV, and the only effect I get is to get unrecognized 50% of the time. The game performance is poor, unresponsive. This is a downgrade to my kinect sensor. Even in a confined one-step-size playing area without your product is 100% better to play than with it. I'ts easier to play with my back stick to the wall than with zoom attachedt. That produt just makes kinect stupid.

@rubix4d Please watch our quick setup guide on our channel as it addresses this issue. Please make sure to keep your hand flat and towards your torso and make sure your head is visible to the Kinect sensor when in menus

How can i tell if the zoom is working? i just hooked up my kinect and i used the kinect without zoom for a bit. Then i attached the zoom, corrctly, with the system off. When i used the kinect after it was on it didnt look like the image on the bottom right changed much. i can only stand about a max of 6 feet from my kinect. i tried doing the face recongizer with the zoom attached and could barely complete it because of unavailable space. How do i really know its working?

@BonesBelieber1424 It depends on how spaced out all 3 players are, but if you stand closer together your results should be between 6 to 8 feet.

The zoom light reduce quality of the reader... now need to try with the kinect up to television insetadof under tv.

@Johnnyboyinthehouse Bought one just recently myself and was amazed at how I could easily play my Kinect games. I had to literally stand with my back against the wall just to play some of the games I had. Works great for me. Love it.

I have it and it gives you the desired effect.

The lenses have a fisheye effect and will place a black cutout around the 3D depthmap... So I'd say it's usefull if you want to stand really close to the kinect.

Update: I can get it to work, if your room is especially dark, it has problems. Increase the ambient light in your room and it works relatively well. I replaced some bulbs from 85w to 100w and now I can play.

This has not been released in Australia yet, but it can be purchased on eBay. However, I have heard tons of problems of this thing not working properly if at all. Unless I can test it on my Kinect first, I will definitely avoid it like the plague. There are already a few videos demonstrating how bad this product is. Remember, it is just released a few days ago. I expect there will be a lot more videos like these showing up later on. Caveat emptor!

You have to make sure the Zoom glasses are lined up with your Kinects Lens

and re-calabrate.

@crackzattic Yes it will. The Zoom provides a wider more expansive viewing angle for the Kinect Sensor including vertically. Results will vary from game to game though and for best results be sure to calibrate the Kinect Sensor for use with your daughter before she plays.

wow nice I like how it adds kind of eyes to the kinect, gives it character. I never really liked the bulkiness of the kinect sensor but with this add-on it transforms from something that looks like a lifeless device into something you want to connect with.It kinda reminds me of lenny the binoculars from Toy Story. It blends right into the outside of the device and looks like it has always been there!This accually gets me more motivated to buy Kinect :o. It improves the usability and looks great!

GO NYKO! Freaking Microsft never thought of this when they released the kinect. Not everyone have space to play. The playstation Eye zooms in and out since launch, just saying -_-; now i can play my dance central yay!

Nyko is just amazing. Yeah they messed up with the original intercooler for the Xbox but they learned from their mistakes and have been damn near perfect ever since. The Intercooler S/ Charge bases/3DS Battery Pack have all been fantastic. I love Nyko products and I am buying this day one. I have no doubt in my mind that it will work perfectly!

@SVOddball Your distance from the Kinect with the Zoom attached will vary depending on the software requirements for each title. However, it is about a 40% decrease in the amount of space needed to play. For some games that means you can about 4 feet away.
