this is a stock engine it doesn't idle even like a mild cam does, and it wont run because you have too much fuel/ air, you need to put some cams on it for it to run better
this is a car with the specs you have provided its totally different
lol all these people hating on the carbs. 20v blacktop in my corolla here. It's fun but nothing beats the sound and smell of a carb'd 4AGE. Carbs can make power too, go google "Bisi Ezerioha" and read about his drag Hondas.
another dumbass know what hes talking about... im still using the stock ecu but im using the safc to bypass the maf sensor asshole... your jus taking the easy way out with carbs...
well the itb cost 1000 to 1400 a computer to run them cost like 1000 or more so the twin webers cost like 600 and u can put any internals to max out :P so its much cheaper but more serious
Plastic cover weights almost 1/2 a pound and sometimes rubs on the timing belt and destories the belt (happened to me and if that belt snaps it shoots all your valves into you pistons) And its easier to adjust your adjust cam pullies while tuning instead of taking off than putting back on to take it back off again.
holy fuck .304 int? how much did that set you back i have exact car even same color im looking into cams. was thinkin 272 int and exhaust.what do you think is better
damn....you are good...try using carbon fiber hood and white paintjob and Initial d Sticker (used in ID's 86) and you are ready to go....wow another tofu delivery boy
you cand adapt some itb from a Hayabusa motorcycle , my nephew did it on his honda and worked better . just tune the trothle body position sensor . works better than carbs.
You need to tune those webers. Get a vacuometer on each carb and screw with the idle mixture screws. Raise the idling a bit too to aroung 1k/1.2k rpm. Helped me :) Best of luck!
Hey, nice engine. what kind of standalone ECU are you running? also, with that compression ratio are you getting more torque down low than at red line? Finaly hahaha, why not ITBS instead of Carbs? Cheers K
I've spoken with him, he's actually a good friend of mine. Its not the TODA kit as everyone is suggesting. I think he said it was around 7k for the parts and machining, and a friend of ours built the motor for him. It winds to 10k but its not the TRD/TODA engine, its his own build.
i'd love to have a car like this...

cam is WRONG thats why it wont run
best cam is
272/288 8.2mm
seinfeld11123 2 years ago
the cr is 11.8:1, the 272/288 is not enough for this High comp N/A build.
to gain max power he'll need to do 304, or even more like 315 for intake.

I'm thinking of a similar build for my motor. Mind if I ask if you have any idea of how much power it makes?

You're also an idiot, because you're not going to run AE101 ITBs with an SAFC you damn ricer... go play elsewhere.

why run carbs????

because they want to look cool and have open stacks LOL

they can have open stacks with itb's...

but it costs alot more and its more complicated... maybe this is all the OP can afford :3.
as much as i like the simplicity of carbs, i'd never want to convert to it.

The 4AGE 16V is a non-interference engine it will not wreck your valves if the timing belt breaks

it will with aftermarket pistons and or cams
seymour86 2 years ago
On a stock 16v this is true, however the motor in this video was interference. Cover was left off for ease of adjusting cams.

about 20K if its TRD+TODA=20K 200hp 0K rpm.
he turns the fuel pump and the engine power so this one should be around $20K

carbs from what i can see
