I have never come across anyone who associates Glenn Beck with the church in any more of a negative way than they already feel. In what negative light is he putting the church in? I have heard him speak of the church, his conversion but NEVER on his show and I have NEVER heard him promote any thing with the fact that he is a mormon except his autobiography the christmas sweater which is about his life and should not his conversion story be a part of that?

True, but when he advertises his membership constantly to many people in the country, in order to make more money, people assume all mormons think the same thing. I just gets annoying having to put things straight to others. He's not responsible for the worlds view, but he does change many people's view of the Church, usually in a negative way. Why does he have to say what religion he is? No one else does.

Well, since Glenn Beck is a popular media man... it is his choice to voice who and what he stands for when people want to know. I would never hide my religion or not portray how I feel about my religion if I were asked. That is what Glenn Beck is doing, it is his right. I understand that it makes some people mad.

I know a number of people who feel the same way you do, but in the end it really doesn't matter whether or not LDS people agree with Glen. His constant exposure to the media inevitably means he has to talk about his religion sometimes, and every time he is asked about the Church, he is very respectful and tactful. I don't believe he uses the religion to boost sales, kind of a dumb tactic. Mormons aren't necessarily popular with all other Christian religions, many of whom are Glen's audience.

I am aware of the black issue. But "Ugly Women are Progressives" has nothing to do with blacks. I am not transparent to the black issue. We don't know why the Lord wouldn't let the blacks hold the priesthood for a while. There is speculation on the reasons why.

Slavery was still in the south. Giving blacks leadership positions would have been detrimental to the church.

The church has no stance on politics. If they were leaders it would look like we were usurping the government.
