@hudsongrrl EPA told the the 9/11 rescuers they did not need protective gear.Everyone blamed that on Bush. Now that we have a similar situation the president does not get blamed. Is this "cleanup" footage a joke? 10's of millions of gallons gushing and they're out there shoveling a couple small clumps into plasic bags and walking off? How come no one is going out and pulling those birds out of the tar pit? Those people that were threatened to be fired were probably morons who showed up with dust masks that were not going to do anything to protect them anyway. News media is probably running with a story they only know, or want to tell HALF OF as usual.

@Cozzmos The cleanup is a joke. The people shoveling oil into bags are only there for photo ops. They are actively resisting cleanup efforts by doing things such as stopping the LA skimmers from operating while they verify life preservers and fire extinguishers. The claims that BP has threatened to fire employees who wear masks is true and so is the claim that reporters (main stream, not fringe) are being threatened with arrest for filming. Go look up Corexit 9500... they are BURNING it!
