Was this filmed with a 50mm 1.8f lens? I really want to buy a 500D with one of those lenses, and this looks like a really honest straight point and shoot recording, and if this is the quality you get with it, I NEED to have one. xD

yea, i bought mine about 2 months ago, its phenomenal, definitely try it out. after using it, im actually looking to sell it and upgrade to the canon 7d, that video is pure amazingness for the price

well, since the t2i came out im actually getting that instead of the 7d.

but i wanted to use it primarily for video. the t1i lacks 1080p, the ability to shoot at 60fps (i know its 720p but still very useful) , the ability to shoot high iso with low noise, and most importantly, manual controls. i've had a few videos ruined because of how much noise the t1i produces, even when a scene is decently lit it gives off TONS of noise. the t2i however, does not.

@labalbi MONO, but good sound - ok for that price! ... Change focus is to slow for real filming ... i always use a fixed focus.
