Nadal has improved every aspect of his game. His forehand is devastating, one of the best shots in the game. His backhand is hugely better, flatter and deeper.
Same with serve. Federer struggles to break him when they play. His movement is incredible, his gets, hunting down irretrievable balls..net play.. everything.

Nadal's not the greatest yet, he doesn't have the amount of titles enough. In what the gameplay concerns, you cannot even compair his style with Roger's man. Nadal's like a flipper machine. Federer's gameplay is a delite to watch.

Nadal has improved every aspect of his game. His forehand is devastating, one of the best shots in the game. His backhand is hugely better, flatter and deeper.
Same with serve. Federer struggles to break him when they play. His movement is incredible, his gets, hunting down irretrievable balls..net play.. everything.
Then there's the mental side. Rafa is clearly above fed in that regard. many times coming back from big defecits to beat him. you're entitled to your opinion but i disagree with you

I totally disagree, it's not the record that shows who's the best between two players .. The technique, the intelligence , the grace, is all for Federer. He can do everything, which Nadal just can't .. Federer is the best because he won these last years with his own strenghts.. Guys like Nadal and Murray play him in his very "weakness" .. They're both outdoor hardcourts in hot conditions. They're not *that* different. And If I remember rightly, after Fed won the US Open, he didnt won another title till Madrid. Fed choked against Tsonga 5-1 up in the 3rd & Rafa got demolished by del potro. go figure. You shouldnt think that just because the US is fast Fed is gonna waltz to the title.. and neither is Rafa. It'll be fortunate if both of them make the final tbh. With the way del potro, murray, tsonga, roddick et all are playing.

i know i will get thumbs down and i know angry nadal fans will flame me but the truth is nadal relies on power. his strategy is to grind the hell out of the ball and exhaust the opponent. to be fair he does it well.BUT federer is more all-court in that he is smart, comes to net when need be and has exceptional footwork and groundstrokes. the whole package. find a way to dismantle rafa's game and he will lose. example? robin soderling did this incredibly. nadal could find no way to beat the man.

Well yes actually. Purely in a 1v1 sense Nadal is better. That's been proven.
Even in 06 & 07 when Fed was utterly dominant, Nadal was the ONLY player on the tour to still hold a winning record against him. Federers grand slam record and achievements in the sport are incredible, im not disputing that. But Nadal is young, give him time and he will match them.
Rafa will come back stronger than ever. Just watch.

In term of pure domination, Federer was much better than Sampras.
Federer = 4 years almost undeafeated (with 3 "mini" great slams)
And if Roger beats the Pete's record he will be the greatest that's all.

On clay: 9-1 / 4-5 on other surfaces.
So, can Federer be considered the best of history although Nadal is being clearly better than him? I think NO.
Nadal is better than Fed independently of which style is more beautifully, favorite or whatever, the thing is 13-6.
Secondly, I think that to be considered "the greatest" you MUST hace won all the 4 GS. (Laver,Agassi)
If he doesn´t get injured, Nadal´s gonna be ......"The greatest", that´s what I think.

Nadal's not the greatest yet, he doesn't have the amount of titles enough. In what the gameplay concerns, you cannot even compair his style with Roger's man. Nadal's like a flipper machine. Federer's gameplay is a delite to watch.

In terms of pure athleticism, Pete Sampras is the greatest. Nobody could hit an overhead smash like Pete. I am not a Fed fan and always cheer for Rafa. Even if Roger breaks Pete's record, Pete will always be better. Roger needs to play like a Pat Rafter if he has any chance against Rafa.
