AL learner is a bitch he won't let fans get loud in the staduim anymore,he kicks people out over nothing, cleveland used to be the hardest place to play in the nfl, fuck him and art
@kdee1912 ate you kidding? The browns used to be an average playoff team, almost every year, and the bills appeared in four super bowls in a row, and lost four super bowls in a row. LOL!
No stadium was ever as loud as Muni stadium. No stadium today can even compare. I was at the very last browns/steelers game before the move, I was 10 sitting in the dawg pound with my father....I fucking hope you rot in hell Art.
I have to admit, this video brought tears to my eyes from the joyful memories of being a 15 year old kid in the stands watching this happen in person. Probably one of the only good memories I have with my abusive alcoholic father
I remember Metcalfs first touchdown it was on monday night the browns were playing the bengals he caught alittle swing pass on the bengals ten made two fakes then went in untouched and he had a 4 touchdown game vs the raiders it was on national tv 2nd fav brown Chip Banks no1
Metcalf has it at the 11. Straight ahead to the 15, to the 20 to the 25, to the 30 to the 35 40. Metcalf breaks it at the 50. He might be gone! Eric Metcalf is GONE FOR A TOUCHDOWN! Eric Metcalf has stunned the Buffalo Bills! When Metcalf hit daylight you knew it was 'adios muchachos'.
as the 2-0 ravens look like the best team in the nfl (not to mention they won our superbowl)...i cant help but imagine how wonderful my life would be had art modell not screwed us over :-(
@bestacescenario Yeah, I feel bad for that guy. He always tries so hard to beat us yet - with the exception of one time in the past 13 games in this series - he always loses.
I just don't get it. Why the HELL do Cleveland fans put football over basketball? I know we USED to be great, but isn't it obvious the Browns are never going to win the Super Bowl? I am a fan myself, and love ALL and ONLY Cleveland sports teams, but seriously, how much more heartbreak will it take? LeBron will be the best thing to ever happen to us, surely better than anyone who will play for the Browns.
Cleveland was/is/and always will be a browns town. I love the Cavs, but Lebron has won as many championships as the browns since he entered the league. 0.0
the next noel......i am a browns fan to, but did ya notice the cavs and their heartbreak ?? it aint just the browns pal. its all 3 major Cleveland teams. and it sucks!!!!!!
This was a very exciting, back and forth game where neither team deserved to lose, but the Browns pulled it out on an interception in the end zone in the last seconds by Clay Matthews. This game included the famous play where the Bills Don Beebe caught a pass and landed square on his head.
get off that crack, last year playoffs were great. The nfc championship was almost just as good as the damn superbowl if the giants wouldnt have made those plays and pulled it out.
Thankfully in Denver we've got the modern-day Eric Metcalf in Eddie Royal. Metcalf sure was an electrifying player. It was always fun to watch him growing up.
great video, love seeing clips from the old stadium...
hey NFL executives, put up your archive of old NFL clips online. At least let us relive some of the good times the Browns had, since they suck right now...
how bout the game they lost in the divisional playoffs to the steelers in 95? the lost against the jacksonville in 96 wild card and the wild card lost to miami in 98?
I've been looking for the Metcalf two punt returns vs the Steelers. If anyone has them, you'd be my hero if you'd send them over. The NFL makes them delete these. The money they get from me for season tickets, NFL sunday ticket, and all the random licensed products isn't enough, apparantly. Great video. Thanks for posting.
Yeah I know, this video's days are numbered. Hopefully they won't delete it. It's not like this is high quality video. But knowing the NFL they want every last dollar (can you say Art Modell).

Remember when Metcalf ran the two punts back for TDs against the Steelers in '94? That was amazing.
kirkoa 3 years ago
That was actually in 1993 when Metcalf took those two punts back for TDs
DASCO2136 2 years ago
Indeed, 1993 it was. my Dad came runnng in from grilling out on the porch when he heard us yelling on the second return. Unreal.

80s and early 90s ..sigh. Seemed much more exciting back in the day. Many high fives and cool spikes, unlike today's negative angry players.

As a Steelers fan, I will never forget the game in 1993 where he single-handedly beat us. He really was a great player.

He was to the return game what Secretariat was to horse racing - an incredible running machine!
