remember when Robin dates a single father and she keep saying that she is not a kid person...at then end future Ted tells his kids that Robin change and we can see a lot of children drawings of Ted's son and daughter with "Aunt Robin". I'm sure that he has kids with the mother then divorce (or the wife die) and he get together with Robin (sorry for my awful english).
I don't think the writers even know who's gonna be the mother. I think they'll throw some curveball at the audience to make Robin the mother in the end.
to all you "ted and robin will never be together again" people...you could be wrong. i could be too,but hear me out. there is a chance that robin is the wife but not the mother. isnt it odd that the mother never interrupts while ted tells the story? i think, maybe, that the mother died, or they got divorced (most likely died cause they wouldnt divorce after all the storytelling). maybe the mum died, and afterwards ted realized "ive got to move on" and he and robin end up together. its a theory.
We should all accept the fact that Ted will not be with Robin. That theory was pretty much shot down in the Pilot episode. My belief that the mother is someone else. I also believe that the writers havenot decided who will play the mother if she is shown at all. Additionally i think that by the series finale, Barney will end up with Robin and once Ted meets the mother the show will end.
This is wonderful! Ted/Robin should sooo be end game. I know she's not the mother, but... These two are... wonderful. =D I like Robin/Barney as bros, but these two... Magical!

season 1 was great because Ted met Robin and fell in love with her. it took them one season to end up as a couple.
season 2 was great because they finally got together.
every episode after their breakup was just not the same again. funny, but just not the same.
it would be really nice if they get back together as a couple for at least one more season! :)
but the most important thing is that barney will stay single until the finale xD he's just too awesome and hilarious as a single guy
