@SatanMadeMe I'm sorry you have that mentality - but please understand there are many people who call themselves Christians but aren't & true Christians are never themselves perfect either. We all sin. However, Jesus will return. Jesus lived a perfect life, died to save a wretched sinner like me. He resurrected and one day will come to take those that place their trust in Him to be with HIm in Heaven. We can glimpse God's attributes simply through HIs creation. I'll be praying for you! :]

@lonewarrior601 Jesus has never resurrected, because he never lived. I am an Atheist, I do not believe in god, nor in the biblical statements.. I have extreme knowledge-hunger, so I've read the bible, thats why I'm 'debating' on this topic, rather than flaming at believers. I find the happenings in the bible hard to believe, and they can't be proven. Religion is part of growing up. Don't grow up with it, and be an Atheist, or start believing later on, but thats unlikely in most cases.

We must believe it, becoming a 'new being' in a sense. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new." I'd be interested in hearing your view on what an atheist's outlook is on life, what you believe our life purpose is, what happens after death :]

FYI, I've read the bible with an open mind, open to the knowledge and beliefs, but I can't believe them without telling myself I'm lying to myself. My looks on life purpose? Why should there be a purpose? If there's no higher power, as I believe, there is nobody that has made a purpose for us. I do believe that there is a path made for every individual, which you can follow, or stray from. After death? I sincerely don't know.

@SatanMadeMe, you and other atheists are never 'infidels'. You are all loved by God who even though He would've been totally just by just letting us go to hell, sent Jesus to rescue us. I would humbly disagree that the Bible is true. The Bible has proved it's truthfulness again and again - the Dead Sea scrolls, the prophecies in Daniel and Isaiah, the timeline account - while other 'books of religion' (ex: book of mormon) have been forced to change over time. Yet no one can force this on you.
