  • I love seeing a male nurse rock at his job

    Keep it up bro :)

I am doing my co-op on a Complex Continuing Care floor that has hemo and peritoneal dialysis I believe

  • Been in dialysis 5 yrs. Love my job to its fullest!!! (CCHT)

  • I'm studying to be a medical assistant and also plan to become licensed to be a hemodialysis technician.

  • Thanks for your video, I'm a student nurse based in the UK and due to start placement next week at a renal unit.

  • sir ...how many months dd u trained for especial training in dialysis? and in IV training?

  • sir ...how many months dd u trained for especial training in dialysis? and in IV training?

  • I agree this B.Braun Dialog are user friendly. You could learn it easily compared to baxter or nikkiso. Second to it is the Fresinius..

  • We use the same machine too=) The B.Braun Dialog is more user friendly compared to a Nikkiso or a Baxter.. You could learn it in just an hour=)

  • Great job Sir.. Pinoy pride

  • to be a dialysis nurse u must undergo special training in the dialysis unit, have a license of CRN, & IV training.

  • thank you very much sir...i really want to be a dialysis nurse...

    btw this video is great...

hope youll make some other videos regarding dialysis..

    thank you..more power!!!

  • nice video!

can you please upload more videos regarding hemodialysis?

    Thank you

  • @markalaincompo sir can i ask help from you about the dialysis machine?Im a nursing student here at cabuyao Laguna im 4th year....Is it Ok?

  • This video was taken last Oct 2008 at Northern Mindanao Medical Center Renal Unit, Philippines.

  • sir, i am a nursing student and i want to be assigned in a hemodialysis unit someday...how can i be one?should i study???just like iv therapy?thank you...

  • WHAT HOSPITAL? nice video, it really helped me a lot.v :)

  • nope, I'm a licensed Renal Nurse. We perform cannulation & as well as preparation of dialysis machine.

  • good job,

    markalaincompo u r dialysis tech ?

  • may mas maganda pa dyan na machine..touch screen din pero mas maliit kesa dyan..walang naka labas na parang TV sa taas..

  • i have a ? my mom is having kidney failure i think and starting dialysis soon operation for some tubes to be put in her arm dec 23 but does dialysis actually help?

  • it does help i've been on dialysis for 2 years and i feel well

  • ok na unta but asa man ang PPE nu? Pacutekulet, u don't need to removed the tourniquet while doing cannulation...A tourniquet is a constricting or compressing device used to control venous and arterial circulation to an extremity for a period of time....

Kuya open the clamp not clamps...hehehehe

By the way, while cannulating AVF, Venous site is always up and for Arterial can either go up or down...but its best to do down for arterial for better dialysis result / cleaning..

  • wow please upload more videos

  • asa ni sya?

  • im gonna start hemodialysis in a week

    good video

  • dami nyo nmn reklamo kayu ba kaya nyo gawin yun???kabisado nga yung mga rules di nmn kaya i perform.

  • hi, meron ba kayong alam na dialyis traning center sa manila asside from renap.. kahit may bayad..thanks

  • is he a nurse a doctor a tech or a preceptor?....

easy to manage ba ang Dialog + meron ba feature nya ng HDF? ang ganda ng porma ng machine touch screen pa....

    upload more...

  • its nice video, but u need to removed the tourniquet first before you insert na other needle....na conscious c kuya sa pag insert..

  • haha ung tunog ng mga b-braun machines...kakaaliw

  • shit bkt ngaun ko lng nahanap 2...syng kung kelan tapos n ko s hemodialysis unit..pero ok lng, pag-aaralan ko pa din to..tnx s vid

  • dude you should cut your hair.. its unhygienic.. nasa dialysis ka pa naman!

  • u shouldve released the torniquet right after cannulation and never touch the prick site even with ur gloved hand.one more thing,ur not supposed to touch the machine with ur gloved hands....

  • This video is only a demonstration on how to cannulate arterial & venous site for a fistula. Standard precautions should always be maintained, although some parts we're compromised. The type of machine we're using is Dialog +, designed by B-Braun. It's a friendly-user touch screen monitor.

  • pamati ba kaayu nimo sir congfu! oh yeah!

  • hey di ba dapat di masyadong matagal nakalagay ang tourniquet at before ka mag insert ina assess mo muna ang access para pag nawipe mo na ng antiseptic di mo na kelangang i touch.. anyway, great job

  • dapat sana hindi na nya tnouch ung area after nya ma-wipe ng alcohol. para mamaintain pa rin ang aseptic technique. tama po ba? but, he did a nice job.except for that part. :)

  • Great video. If you are considering doing hemo, research Peritoneal Dialysis as well and ask your medical team if PD will work better for your lifestyle. Many patients with PD walk, play basketball, tennis, golf and travel. Read other patients' success stories as well! Thanks again for this video!

  • What machine are you using? Fresenius or Baxter?

  • yah, talagang trabaho yan ng nurse. hehe

  • Nurse ba nag-i-insert?

  • it varies on the policy and procedure of each facilities ....

in some facilities dont allow anybody but a registered IV nurse or a doctor...

but other facilities allows even a renal technician to cannulate a patient...

Renal Nurse is most expert in cannulation...aight?
