Wow....you are my ideal woman. I LOVE 80s Sci-Fi and fantasy films. I love Jim Henson puppets, awesome animatronics, epic music scores, aliens, luck dragons, goblins, cyborgs, John Carpenter, shit...I can go on and on. We may have crazy SFX technology now but we left behind something very beautiful in the 80s. These films are the reason I'm going into the business.
Could you please spread your movie taste to other females?
@pornozaur1 I vlogged the other week or something. Nah, I actually have a lot of plans outside of movie reviewing. Most of them won't happen until I switch to part time hours.
@pigamous3 just googled that. OH GOD AN EIGHTIES ALIEN MOVIE FUCK YES. I have to wake up in five hours for work and I haven't slept yet. Do I watch it anyways?
@BonesWontMakeIt I say yes!! But it depends how much responsibility you have at your job. Wait, maybe not if you're feeling ill. We can watch it tomorrow night.
....and the head scientist which was Blair. He's the old man you see on the diabeties commercials. The heavy set old man with the big thick mustache. I forgot what his name is.
I also recently found out two interesting things about this movie. The dog at the beginning of the movie which was the alien in disguise. That dog has only been in two other movies. Are you familiar with a Walt Disney movie called "White Fang"? The dog is White Fang in the first movie.
Kurt Russel's character was funny in this. I liked when you saw it start to mimic one of the people. After Kurt Russel burns it, it was funny when he's going for the torch.
The old man saying "My God! What was happening to him?" And Kurt Russel is yelling "If it had more time, it would've looked like him by now! It would've sounded like him, and it would've acted like him!" And the old guy was thinking he was crazy! lmao (:
Bones? I was just talking about this movie to my best friend yesterday. (:
There has been another remake of it which is going to be out in theaters this year.
The story plot is the same. Only the main character is a female. And their special effects are done by computer. I can tell by looking at the trailer that these effects aren't as good as John Carpenter's version.
@Blender3DProjects I don't have a whole lot of time for keeping up with tv shows, but ever since my brother put Fringe on the Apple tv, I. Have. Been. Hooked.
I don't know why but when it comes to television I'm more into murder mysteries (Bones, Law and Order, MO'FUGGIN' DEXTER.)
But yeah, Fringe. Other than that I haven't really made the effort to watch sci fi shows. When I switch to part time hours this fall I'll definitely try to rob my brain of reality with some awesome sci fi tv shows.
Watch The Adventures of Milo and Otis.

Cowboys vs aliens is going to be the best film ever, simply due to the title

They are making a prequel to "The Thing". Doesn't look as good as the original.

So if you are into sci-fi, what about sci-fi TV series? Battlestar/Stargate etc?

Awesome, awesome movie. It's really a testament to how much more convincing good animatronics/make-up are over CG animation.

@SwiftyZeAvenger I prefer good make up and animatronics. Spielberg hasn't let me down yet. I lied. Indiana Jones 4.
I feel like Micheal Bay's Transformer CGI effects are extremely awesome though.
