  • You are welcome...thank you for those tips...the glass turned out gorgeous...Where did you get those letters? I know you tell us in the video but your letters looks all one piece...I know I couldn't find one piece for the words I need...

  • @Blackdiamondent47 Yes my words were all one piece , I used my gyspy to weld them together, But im thinking...if you used pre cut letter or letters you cut and don't have a gypsy you can layer the letter on a transfer sheet then transfer the whole thing, Im sure it would work,a little clipping here and there should do the trick. And if you needed a few cuts from contact paper I wouldnt mind helping out, Just inbox me!

    Anyway thanks again!

  • they say if you get this etching cream on your skin you need to call 911 poision control .... you don't seem to say anything about this .... ???

  • @sweetnovember2659 I didnt mention 911 because I never had that problem. I have been using this product for a long time and have never hae a reaction of any kind to this product, mind you I don't get alot on my hands either. I would advice you to use plastic gloves if you know you have problems with products of this nature. But thqnks for watching.

  • Thank you so much for this well needed information...Especially for me having a small budget, I need to cut corners but spare nothing on quality of the project... Every where else on youtube ppl want to charge for any tips or secrets...You will receive blessings for this...

  • @Blackdiamondent47 Thank you so much it feel good to know that something I did helped someone. You ar so very welcome.

  • hi there, im new in glass etching, can you please tell me the diffrence in using etching cram and sandblasting? the finish product i mean.

    thank you.

  • @MYkelloGs while I know that its really easy to etch with the etching cream, I dt know much about sand blasting. I do know that the items needed to etch with the cream is very cheap and easy to get.hope this help.

  • @MYkelloGs I dt know if I answered this for you or not but .....Let me first say thanks for watching my video and that the only thing i know about sand blasting is that it takes alot longer thn using the etching cream. And the only thing you have to buy is the cream and not like a lot of tools and stuff hope that help. Also just so you know the etching doesnt wipe off when washed.

  • Globbing it on...hahaha, I like that!

  • thanks

  • if you have a michael's craft store near you, you can sign up for their newsletter or wait for the coupons in the mail and get the cream for 50 percent off. the great thing about the newsletter is you can keep reprinting the coupons, and they dont care.

  • Thanks Mssparklicious and purplepacacion but for purple you really dont need a cricut to make the cut outs. You can use stickers or cut your design out freehand of the contact paper. You can even get punches and punch the designs out of the contact paper, hell u can even draw on the paper and cut it out. Anyway Thanks again and Im glad this was helpful.

  • @1Motherand1Daughter

I agree using the contact paper instead of vinyl, but since it is sticky on the back why do you have to use the transfer paper you just peel it off>>>

  • @bandit1276 Because you want it to be striaght and even when you place it on your item. The transfer paper makes it easier to place. especially letters. Thanks for watching my video

  • You have some excellent money saving tips!!! I need to start trolling those 99 cent stores!!! Thanks Again, You are Awesome!!

  • @MsSparklicious Thanks!

  • You did a great job in sharing you techniques!! I appreciate this so much!! Now I need to purchase a Cricut! LOL!

  • As far as how long to keep the cream on, the bottle says i think 1 minutes, but i found that 1 to 3 mins is fine the longer it stays on the deeper the etch. I would also like to say im sorrry to those that sent questions and I took so long to answer But my laptop is not working so I haven t even been posting but will do better.

  • Thanks for posting info on my video but i have used this product without gloves and didnt have any problem , i also dont get alot of the product on hands and the little that did get on my hands didnt nothing to hurt or irratate my hands in any way.I would advice you to do a test to see if it would be a problem. I also think for this video both settings on 3 I just cut right through and remove the pieces you dont want ....then transfer it with the transfer paper.

  • for people watching, make sure you wear gloves.. this product contains acid and should not come in contact with your skin

  • Great tips, thanks for sharing! How long should the etching cream be kept on for in order to get the best possible result? Thank you :)
