We sing this beautiful hymn. I love it so. This is once again an awesome posting. I Thank You!!! "Beautiful life with such a friend beautiful life that has no end. Eternal life: Eternal joy: He's my friend. I feel the Spirit moving....
The very finest of ANY version of this song I've ever heard, and I've been playing the piano and organ for AWHILE! And, I'm white, and no offense to my white Brothers and Sisters, but we need to SING like Jesus really IS all the world to us! Sing it Choir! This can't be touched! I wilol never forget it long as I live!-Sondra
Praise God for Rev. Nicks(my dads cousin), JD(our minister of music at Bethesda Baptist in Muskegon back in the day), and St. James. as I am leading my church's music ministry at Mt. Zion in Kalamazoo, I often think of these folks whom I've learned so much from. Thank You God for mentors.
Been playing piano half my live in church and never heard anything like this before! PRAISE GOD for wonderful talent used to edify God. Sing it on out choir, and play that organ, Brother! I have shared this video with many! Well..Amen and Amen!!Sondra
Maybe no one caught this...but the beginning of the Hymn was sung like an anthem with the Pipe Organ playing...then the second part was the gospel version integrated in the hymn and the Hammond Organ was used during this part...this is what I call Euro-Afro Centric Worship. Worship at its best. The hymns (Pipe Organ) and the gospels (Hammond Organ)...blended worship. I just love it. I can get my shout on now!!! Glory, Glory, Glory to His Name!
@MethodistPreacher I hate to correct you, but that was the Hammond organ playing the whole time. A good organist knows how to adjust the drawbars to sound just like a pipe organ.
This song and arrangement is such a bless to my soul, right now. Thank God for St. James' arrangement of hymns! This hymn arrangement and many, many, more will be hummed this week in my heart. Thank God for Rev. Nicks and JD. I have not heard this and many other arrangements from them in about 25 years. It is a blessing!
Glory to God!

@MethodistPreacher
It was the Hammond all the time. That young man is a master organist. What a sound!
