@troyMLG you obviously dont play hockey. the first thing you learn after skating and shooting is to never duck a hit. you duck a hit you get injured. this dumbass ducked a hit and got his bell rung like he deserved. you may find it scary and unfair, but all us with experience on the ice are laughing our asses off at him.

he didnt keep his head up when chara tackled him so.... i would say that was pretty clean hit if you dont mind of the hit to the head and the second 1 was just pure accident if you watch chara 2m long and mikhail is about over 180cm so its hard not to hit into head! while playing the game

He had his arms on his head and then as they went towards the boards he pushed his head into them. Not even arguable that it's not dirty.

everyone needs to stfu about chara. the man is 6 foot nine. if he was going out there trying to hurt people, he would be taking someone else out of the game every other shift. he plays clean, hes just so big that when he does things average players do every shift, he ends up fucking people up. btw, the second hit wasnt from behind, and the first hit was the habs fault. you dont duck a hit, especially from a guy that size. everyone whos ever played hockey should know that.

@notar3alacc0unt Either way Chara still hit him from behind and if you think about it, normally when you try to take a corner like that and fast you tend to lean and also, Chara's body was already in contact with him even before he hit the boards. Not to mention the fact that Grabo hadn't even touched the puck. On the second hit though it was a clean hit, although rather late and delayed. But you are right about Chara's size and when you're a hockey player you don't always think before you do.

Has hockey changed quite a bit in terms of hitting? I started watching it this year to see if I could get into it (didn't think I would, I've ended up really enjoying it so far), so I don't know much about the history of the sport, as I would if we were to talk about football.

But, I always remember hearing how hockey had the biggest hits and the cliche "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out," definitely some great hits but it seems like every good hit becomes a penalty.

first hit, both players going for the puck, chara angles grabovski into the end boards, bullshit interference call, the puck was right there. Hit was absolutely not from behind, grow some eyes, If it hadn't been chara, there would have been no call, another "too strong" penalty.

Second hit, grabovski is facing chara as he moves the puck, then turns away from the hit to make it shoulder to shoulder. Good strong hit, within the rules. If you don't like it, watch tennis.

honestly its his height in these two hits that make them seem dirty, his forearms are right at head level and grabo is leaning down in the first one. its hard to fault chara for finishing his checks
