  • this film gives me hope.

  • "Senselessly battered!"

  • Where's the beach shots located? South Boston?

  • @ryanharrington86 I believe it was on the blue line but can't remember the exact stop.

  • noah is yummy! who agreees?

  • What I really enjoy about these films are how they seem to focus on these lonely people with a fixation on an ideal (fish, george washington, popularity) and how they try to join in on something bigger and break out of their lonely habits. They are all so simple and may not have these huge climaxes as in most films but it is something I can easily relate too and I feel a lot of others can. Just taking that first step to break into something bigger can be quite an accomplishment.

  • A Musician and a Filmmaker.

  • A Lover Once Can No Longer Now Be A Friend.

  • This film is very unrealistic. I have plenty of friends that live in the Harbor City Red Shore, Maine, and they do not even closely resemble the eccentric ways of this young fish lover here. From birth, they are taught to respect and honor fish as spiritual beings, and to catch them is a delicate practice of the most elegant moves. This film angers me, as it seems too artsy to be enthralling, and also makes fun of fish in the way that the main character is supposed to be laughed at ...

  • are there any more of these?! i must see all of them!

  • haha the music playing in the background is from panda bear's first album

  • this reminds me a lot of The Graduate. anyways i like it!

  • @dlg725 In what sense? I don't remember Dustin Hoffman dating a fish :P

  • @bezwaarlijketruffel just in the narration and personality of the film

  • Beautiful, very poignant :')

  • beautiful video. it's not really comedy or muleschooler? it's more tragic with a bit fun in it. it's about the phase of the so called ''nerds'' (not only the cheesy computer ones) where their nerdiness made them to outsider and maybe to something where they obsessed one. i would consider myself to one of these people because i'm 18 and i hear animal collective :/

  • @ov4kill [...]who they obsessed of[...] sorry for shit english

  • Do you like fish sticks?

  • Lennox has serious acting talent...reminds me of Dave Matthews in some ways.

  • anyone who recognizes ths from true stories? no?

  • haha man that was so awesome that one time when animal collective went to art school

  • what is that song in the middle of the film... i know that ive heard it before

  • @Andypants76 Both the songs are from Panda Bear's first, self-titled, album.

  • i admire fish, not that i eat them they are delectable

  • is it possible to lead me to some influences of this? i really enjoy this style of film, yet am very new to it. where do i begin? thanks!

  • You don't talk nearly as much as you should of the all important Fish Stick, the nutritional backbone of my diet....

  • Family Circus

  • I share his interest in fish.

  • omg how did i not know about thisssss it's great

  • fuck you Gery Seinfeld

  • I saw this man and Geologist and Avey in Oakland California on May 26th 2009 and it was amazing.

  • Oh man that's totally a 400 Blows shoutout ending. All these gay fish comments are really lame. Yes I know the episode was incredible, but it has nothing to do with this so what's the point.

  • what you talking bout !? it has everything to do with that , this dude is the closest to GAYFISH as u can get!

  • That song sounds kind of familiar (like something that AC or Panda himself has done), anyone know what is it?

  • i was listening to the first panda bear record (self titled), and recognized the song from this film.. its called a musician and a filmmaker.

  • hey man, do you know where i can get that album? i've been looking for it.

  • The main song used in this movie is Noah Lennox aka Panda Bear's first album, self titled Panda Bear..."A Lover Once Can No Longer Now Be A Friend" is the song from that album...1999 release.
