its 2 steps after a player GATHERS the ball. he didnt travel...yes its sort of pushing the boundaries but the refs know players can sort of push the rules like that so they don't call it as a travel. however, for those saying that its a travel for sure, youre being stupid. it can be argued either way, but a ref wont call out a travel everytime someone does that anyway (almost all players do it)

Yup. It only appears like it COULD be a travel, because he grabbed the ball immediately after the step preceeding his 2 steps before launching. I haven't read the rules in a while, but it used to be 1.5 steps, so you could grab it just before you launched and that was it.
