  • NO SOUND ?????

  • You speak like cletus from the simpsons, i didn't get a word of what you were saying!

  • i cant read your voltages, what is it mate?? plz reply!!

  • can i overclock on asus p5v-vm

  • Interesting the Abit IN9 has a completely different bios I tried overclocking my proc .. but personally i think i got a bad e6600 chip. In a Prime/Orthos test, didnt hold stable for more than 1-3hrs. Lost my Dominator ram some time ago.. 3 month's after overclocking it to be exact. putting on 5-5-5-12-2t with a 2.1 or2.2 voltage on it. My system flew everything was insta startup. fps 100+ it was majestic.

But after the ram died... had to put her back to stock. shitty g-skill no dinero.

  • what r ur voltages ? i cant read :S

  • hi can someone help me?

i can't get my ram higher than 3GB even on 64-bit i putted 4GB in and even 3.5 GB of ram but it still showed me 3GB.

I got the same motherboard P5B.

  • you must put enable to memory remap feature , i had the same problem and same motherboard. now it works for me

  • @070shadow i got the same problem i got 4gb of RAM but it says only 3.25 is usable wtf did u figure it out?

  • Look at the comment from Drumyx

"you must put enable to memory remap feature (In BIOS), i had the same problem and same motherboard. now it works for me"

    This worked for me

  • my comps a Dell and i have no such option in bios so now wut do i do....

  • @Fabolous206 its not really good to OC copmuters bought RTR. from my exp. its not a good thing to do.

  • Go to bios and find an option named "Memory Remap" and enable it.

  • @070shadow go to the chipset config, then north bridge, and enable memory remap feature. I assume you know this by now.

  • Hey man, i attepmted the overclock, but for some reason i cant access the CPU settings (1st bit), its all greyed out, i did all the wattage and stuff, ended up failing though

  • nice man i have a asus p5b delux and a intel e6600 too thanks, for the overclocking tips

  • how i control the stock fan speed? mine stay at 1900rpm....

  • hi mattfleg, i was just wondering did you use the stock cooler on this overclock or the thermalright ultra 120

  • ultra120 or it might have been a zalman at the time....?

  • mattfleg, thnxs a lot mate:) ur video helped me a lot :)

between : i got a new mobo : asus P5KC & E6600, please guide me mate, how to OC !

  • i have mine overclocked at 2,8 with evga 680i mb and the clocks are:reference clock(fsb)312.568mhz,fsb:1250,273(QDR)mhz,multiplier 9.0x,CPU:2813,114Mhz,mems:937,705(ddr2)Mhz,and pci:3025,000mhz.Temp of cpu is about 45-65 All with stock coolers :D

  • There is Never Only ONE way to OC :)

O/C Is a style you develop your self :)

    3600 MHZ E6600 Air temp 30

  • Hey Mate

I have a E6600 and a ASUS P5V-VM SE DH Motherboard. I want to overclock but do i need to buy better cooling apart from stock? I only wanted to get it to like 2.8ghz or 3Ghz

    Cheers

  • depends on your ambient temps m8. what stepping is it?

  • Thanks for this. I've had some problems overclocking, despite buying good equipment for overclocking.

Hopefully this and your next video will get me past 3Ghz.

    Thanks again.

  • my absolute pleasure, how did you go by now?

  • can i still run my os

  • would these overclocking tips change much with overclocking an e8400? Thanks

  • yes but maybe check my newr vids too

  • With wich core voltage should a e6600 run when running at 2.70 GHz???

  • can't remember-was a while ago, should only have to bump it slightly m8.watch my second vid might help

  • shouldnt need to do higher than 1.35v never go to 1.5v

  • temp are fine so not a prob

  • I have that in my dell. You probably made it from a pos to a decent chip

  • e6600?first get a mobo that can,a good one will be at least $300 aus.

  • i got a asus P5GC-MX motherboard and when i install aibooster it comes up a screen that i cant run the Aibooster because AI booster doesnt support the model and something with BIOS issue :(.and i cant overclock in bios :(. please can you help me with my processor and my motherboard because i got a intel core 2 duo 2,2ghz and if i overclocking the max speed is 3,8ghz !. you got another idea for example how i can get the max speed ?. please help i would be so happy if i fix this.

  • what kind of case should I use to install this mobo? i got asus p5b ATX, does any ATX tower case work?

  • Any mid- tower or full tower ATX platform case will work. Good ones are the Antec 900, the CM Stacker, cosmo, and centurion, as well as many from Lian-Li and Silverstone. Depends on the cash you wan to spend. Look for 120mm fans in front and back and if theres cooling on side panel even better.

  • thx man

  • hey man, i wanna know how to overclock my pc its an asus p5b and core 2 duo E6300 i wanna know the values so i just put them on the Bios and done, but not too far cuz i have the stock fan plz i need help :D

  • i dont know what im doing wrong but mine wont stop shitting itself

all the ovecocking keeps failing. i have got the fsb upto 320 once and it didnt realy like it. i have the same cpu and the mobo is a p 5 vb i think so its not much diffrent then what u are showing. any ideas??

  • i can only get mine upto 285 any more then that and it will fail. any idea??

  • This tutorial helped soooo much! Thank you!

  • I'm about to start OCing my E6600 on p5b following this, hope it goes well :]

  • some say 118 on p5b for pci-e,i used 100 to get to 9x385 with e6600 b2.

hey pull, u have to type the fsb in.

  • Ifi get a computer with a 2.4ghz proccesor intel, 4GB of ram and a NVidia gfx card how many watt pwr supply do i need and do you buy a dic to overclock your cpu? how did you get that screen where you choose to overclock and your ram and stuff?

  • Lock the PCI-E at 100mhz never go above 110-115 causes corruption

  • I want adjust the multiplier/bus speed to 320x9 is about 2,8 Ghz...I don't see any option in the bios to change the speed... I can change the multiplier though.

Its currently set at 266x9 standard 2,4 Ghz.

It seems it cannot be adjusted when I click enter on it.

  • Ah... never mind I found out.

  • do 9x400 with good air cooling,or 9x350 on stock

  • What do you use to check your tempratures with?

I have a aftermarket cooler Zalman CNPS9500 LED for my Q6600.

Tempratures in Coretemp get from 40 to 65 c when overclocked. And even more when I run prime95 tempratures reach even over 80 c.

Everything is very stable however... maybe the sensors/tempratures are defect and not showing my temps properly?

  • Oh and I did only 9x300... thats like 2700mhz. I'm pretty sure the thermal cooling paste is set properly as well the zalman fan also. It can't be that hard.

  • find out what stepping it is ,use cpu-z

  • Its a B3 stepping

  • Oh and I have Corsair DDR2 667mhz, Corsair PSU 520HX watt.

I only want to Overclock it to 2,8 GHz... thats more then enough for a Quad Core. (B3 stepping)

Is bios update necessary? I have read several reviews of people who tried to update their Bios on the Asus P5B and it made their system useless and wouldnt boot anymore.

Sorry for my bad English hope you understand.

  • I have a P5B also... I'm just afraid to update the bios I hear many things can go wrong etc.

I bought this board like a couple of weeks ago.

My Intel Q6600 is pretty similar to yours but mine is 4 cores.

Do you think it will work? Please respond thank you :)

  • I have a e6600 dual core processor, if i folowed these steps could i make it 3.2ghz?

so it runs faster? sorry just found this interresting to know but im not to clever with pc's.

  • depends on the stepping/version of your chip,if b2 prob get to 3.5's or 3.6's,if b3 maybe only 3.2's,i got to 9x380 with my b2.

  • sorry dunno what b2 is and that. lol

    is it on the box??

  • thanks 8 stars ..

  • thx ;)

  • Will this configartion work with an asus P5k?

  • 400x9 is 3.6?!?!

  • i'm back dudes and will get to you all soon

  • Oh, we have the same stuff btw, almost

    CPU: E6600 with Tuniq Heatsink

    RAM: G-Skill 2GB 6400 800MHz

    Mobo: P5B Deluxe Wifi Edition

    GPU: 8800GTS 640MB

    PSU: Thermaltake 750W Toughpower

    HD: WD Raptor X 150GB 10000RPM

  • u from philipines?my gf from cebu.nice set-up m8.

  • Hi, I have my system clocked at 3.0GHz atm. I have an E6600 C2D and a 2GB G-Skill HZ 800MHz RAM.

    Now, my current settings are...

    CPU FSB: 333MHz @ 1.337 Volts with 9 Multiplier

    RAM Frequency: 1000MHz 5-5-5-15 @ 1.9 Volts

Now I want to go to 3.3GHz so heres what I did.

    CPU FSB: 366MHz @ 1.35 Volts with 9 Multiplier

    RAM Frequency: 732MHz 4-4-4-12 @ 2.0 Volts

And I keep getting the blue screen. I tried different frequency on the RAM and timings as well but still blue screen.

  • depending on the stepping of yo cpu-looks like b2?350@1.38v,380@1.48v----with pencil mod 390@1.46v.

  • Ye i actually got it to 3.2GHz at 1.362 Volts 400MHz FSB x 9 Multiplier. 5-5-5-15 DDR2 at 1000MHz and 1.9Volts. Its running stable and im satisfied with it. gonna keep it at this frequency :D

  • when i say set your ram on speed,i really mean spd which means serial presence detect-my bad habit from early days

  • ok guys stage 2 is done

  • Very nice video. Can you upload the next parts of the video please.

  • sure,i was waiting for the interest.i will do it soon for you.

  • Yeah, can you please upload it!
