Lahat sila, gusto nila ginagawa nila. Di man ganun kaperfect o kasing galing ng mga ipinagmamalaki mong napanuod mo, I can feel in their songs all the efforts, the emotions, and their love of music. Hi 2007hymnopache! You may be right in your opinion about the sound. Yes it is NOT perfect and needs a lot of work. But to say that this should not be posted in youtube has no basis whatsoever. I've seen more "embarrasing performances" in this site that you can even search for yourself. Nobody is forcing you to like the interpretation of the group and you are entitled to that. Last time I checked, we still live in a free country.

You have already made your point known to everyone who is viewing or will be viewing this video so I guess you have said enough. Also, you may be referring to the elimination rounds in Sta. Cruz, Laguna where 3 choirs were actually chosen to represent Laguna: UPLB Choral Ensemble, Himig Sanghaya, and another church choir from San Pedro (sorry I forgot the name of the choir!) However, the UPLB Choral Ensemble did emerge as the champion during the finals held in Batangas a week after.

there are two problems in this video. First, is the quality. Second, is the interpretation. Dark masyado. it should be lighter, ethereal and the like. Flat siya obviously because of the tonal color. It's actually ironic coz i like your interpretation. It's dark pero maganda. Powerful! You stepped out of the usual interpretation ng ibang choir. It's quite a risk pero it turned out good. Di lang siguro sanay si 2007hymnopache sa paglalaro ng piyesa. Nanalo kayo dito kya dont mind hs bad comments..

And ofcourse, expected rin naman po ang mga differences in words/opinions. Ang problem lang po, 3 beses nyo pang nirepost yung comment nyo which I think is already unsound esp. na taga UPLB po kayo. You mentioned about praticing more but you have put more emphasis why the vid was posted.. na hindi maganda sa tenga, etc. Let us be more constructive. ;-)

great voices and dynamics...Guys... I believe that it can be improved more if the whole choir will move as one group...you were able to come near it...but not totally in it. Nice Dynamics...Tenors aren't too overpowered now which is a good thing...the sopranos need a powerful bass section to tame the high parts which have the tendency to be shrill and uncontrolled. Alto section as usual is superb. Overall it was an awesome performance. Also your Musical Director rocks may we know who he is?

the audio was a bit distracting but it's good.. a more mature sound for the tenors... sopranos, a lil bit of finess and control... altoes, nice work... basses need power...

but this is one of the best interpretations i've ever heard.. maybe next to the MADZ's...

Hi larrykc24! I totally agree with you. I believe that our choir still has a lot of things to do before we even come close to the same league as the Madz. And I respect your opinion. However, I think there is really no need for sarcasm. Probably prinzessdrea hasn't really heard a lot of interpretations of the piece. But that's really not his/her fault, right? So let's just try to enjoy ourselves and be happy for the achievements of our fellow choristers. Peace!

This was our choice piece during the elimination round held last December 9, 2006 at the Laguna Cultural Center at Sta. Cruz, Laguna. We kinda fumbled at the the start but fortunately we were able to pick it up (Whew!) We ended up bagging the Grand Prize a week after (Yeehah!)
