  • Have this car. It's beautiful inside and out and drives wonderfully.

  • Unfortunately I think Honda needed a bit more work for 2012. They seem to be lagging in many areas compared to the new CX-5 that's coming out. Particularly when compared to the diesel models that area being delivered to all non US markets this year.

  • this may not be apples to apples but....Crv or VW CC?

  • @randomvidsinc123 VW CC!!

  • this guy thinks he's at the stadium commenting a football match

  • civic, accord...hell yeah!

    crv...nahh

  • Looks like KIA Sportage,, very lilkly~ and very UGLY

  • it's shit isn't it?

  • no HID lights, or a 6speed or a V6.. or push button start. what a shame for a redesign car.

2012 and those features still out of Hondas list.

  • @jvrdlc that's why it starts at 23k. honda buyers need practicality and reliability. if you want luxury and frequent electronic break down and over-priced look into Tiguan, X3 or Q5.

  • Most reliable!!

  • I havent seen Honda use any LED lights on their vehicles, a lot of new cars have them.

  • wow motorweek still uses this guy?

  • Looks nice to me. Considering getting this pretty soon.

  • very ugly

  • Ugly!

  • How is fuel economy class best when Equinox is at 32 mpg on the highway and this is at 31?

  • John Davis <3

  • I really don't like the way it looks, but there selling well and that's all that matters. Congratulations on another successful model, Honda.

  • The rear reminds me of the insight

  • Those rear lights scream VOLVO XC60!

  • @tahj677 Totally agree! Thought of that right away! I like the Volvo XC60 T6 better then this.

  • @Volvodriver4life Of course its better IDIOT, it cost 2X as much. The CR-V is better than anything in the compact-ute segment.

  • @MusicMan0007 No it doesn't. It costs a little less than $10,000 more. And sure the CR-V is better than anything in the compact-ute segment. If you're a Honda fanboy or don't enjoy driving (163 lb-ft w/ a 9.4s 0-60 time? Really?). We test drove the '12 CR-V twice as well as the '12 VW Tiguan. We'll be getting either a Tiguan or Q5.

  • it looks great when I see it on the street. I would get one for a daily commuter but not very practical for camping or family shit.

  • is it just me , or the older one looks more beoutifoul ?

  • @stardustneuron Old-one had a nasty front overbite. The new one is so much better inside and out.

  • Kind of funny looking Not sure what it wants to be? needs more power very weak. If you want to look like a Volvo why not buy one.

  • nice houses!

  • I test drove one the other day and it's great accept for the engine. You have to mash the throttle to get a downshift and even then I felt the power wasn't enough. I'm coming from a civic so I'm not used to power.

  • The front looks like the Crosstour, while the back a Volvo, which I don't like.

  • I like the review, not the car. I had a 2008 and, boy, was the interior crappy! Water would stain the seat fabric! It was harder then hell to clean the upholstery, too. Also, I would get maybe 24 to 26 highway and 17 to 20 city. So far, with the vehicle I traded my CR-V in for, I'm getting 17 to 18 MPG city and the same highway mileage. And, it is a Ford F-150 regular cab with their 3.7L V6!

  • Toyota Rav4 is better .

  • something wrong with Japanese designers... lol

  • A great quality boring looking vehicle Honda does it again!

  • Own a 2005 CR-V and it is rock-solid reliable. Low maintenance. But, not awesome to drive or anything exciting. The newest generation looks good but no point getting into a car loan when the '05 is running strong, no problems, and fully paid off!

  • Nice CR-V, but I still prefer my '99 CR-V

  • @howitzer175 90s Honda > Present Honda

  • @desimunda116 No way dude. Ur crazy.

  • @belizetj think about it dude. in the 90s you had the NSX with a chassis developed by the legend himself, Ayrton Senna. You ad the NSX Type R, the S2000, the Prelude and all its versions (Si, Si-R, Type S), the CRX Si, the Del Sol, the 1999 Civic Si which had steering sent from heaven. In other countries there was the Accord Type R and Type S. Now we have the Insight and other hybrid green stuff. I'm all for getting better mpg but Hondas were way more fun in the 90s. They're boring now.

  • @desimunda116 Oh yeah 90s Hondas are way better. I thought u ment the 90s CR-V. They are crap compared to todays CR-V

  • @belizetj oh yeah I meant Honda in general. The CR-V has always been crap to me. If I were looking for a small suv, i'd be more intrigued by the new escape with the turbo 2.0

  • I saw this in person today and it looks nice.

  • I love this car

  • @xoquixxoqafxo the Equinox has been proven to be able to achieve its fuel economy figures. Albeit in ECO mode but still its claims have been backed up. And Equinox has a renatl interior? Funny how it has constantly been named as either best in class or at the top of the class. And yes the CR-V is slightly quicker and lighter. It should be. Its not as long as the Equinox and the Equinox features much more sound insulation which keeps it so quiet.

  • wow thats ugly styling

  • Great review, thanks!

  • I meant 32 mpg highway.

  • The Chevy Equinox gets 32 mph highway. So the CR-V's 31mpg highway isn't class best.

  • @MrRams27

I doubt the fat equinox could actually achieve that 32 MPG claim... besides the CR-V is quicker and lighter and has a nicer interior. The equinox reminds me of a rental

  • @MrRams27 Equinox has failed to achieve its 32 MPG. Just check out fuelly.com and you will see that the CR-V (pre-2012) model always got higher mileage than the Equinox.

  • @MusicMan0007 false equinox is rated by the government 32 mpg

  • Just love this Color!

  • For once, CRV's front is copying from Santa Fe, and the back is just too ugly and awkward.

  • Nice job on the front end, but the rear end is real fugly... looks too much like a Volvo.

  • Great review

  • I love this car. It's cheap, reliable and sleek. Seems like the perfect vehicle for the family.

  • its 2012.... I don't understand why Honda doesn't just put a push button start in their new cars. Toyota's have them... just saying lol

  • Back is ugly. Im upset

  • 26 mpg combined! thats better than my moms 02 lancer!

  • Ugly and the front headlight should be bi xenon and not sunlight look alike colour that can get us kill at night. Still using 2.4L that is more then a decade old. Please stay away from this car, you will be better off getting a Kia Sportage, Hyundai i30, Toyota RAV 4, Nissan Dualis, Subaru XV, Skoda Yeti and last but not least the new Mazda CX-5 which is currently my favourite.

  • The front had potential, but the back ruined it

  • We can all say Honda is the most successful car company in America, and its like they are scared to put new shit in their cars, they act like they are broke.....Well damn enough Honda has more money than Hyundai, and look where they at. Watch if they make a new NSX it will have paper interior and hardstone seats.

  • And yet you've got all these complaints about the low quality the civic has, and yet you put the same exact materials in here. Not only that your not even getting a good deal. The competiton is cheaper and has better equipment, and yet you are jipping us but taking out little shit like cup holder covers, plastic interiors, no more sliding arm rests, and you are charging us more for less. HONDA fuck you, and unless you are on par with Hyundai, then you lost another valuable customer. GOODBYE

  • And change it up, put some more personality in your cars. At least in your "top of the line civic si's" put HID's, or like more stuff exclusive in the interior, leather seating with heavily bolstered seats, alcantara, brembos, a turbo perhaps. Let America get the good stuff too. The competitors, VW Golf, MazdaSpeed3, WRX, Sentra SE-R all have turbos. You have all this money, STEP IT UP. MAKE US SAY WOW!!! WHAT A CHANGE..... at least maybe 230 turbocharged.

  • HONDA is really pissing me the fuck off......Every where you turn there is a civic or accord EVERYWHERE... and obviously they made tons of money off them and they keep making these low quality plastic interior dashboard and etc. While the competition such as Kia/Hyundai, their crossovers have much better quality, panoramic sunroofs, better technology, TURBOS??, and of course dosent have a dated 5 speed automatic. HONDA move up with the times we have 6, 7, 8 gear transmissions with dual clutches

  • @RayzaBlayz What allot of people don't realize is that, Honda(and yes I'm a honda nut)keep there car's simple for the average working citizen, its not a luxury car co. only there Acura line, the less Jung they put on there vehicles, the less issues, Honda has a saying,"WE MAKE IT SIMPLE". And when you see another Honda on the road, that's an American working, so that's a good thing.

  • @rickslick730 simple doesn't mean you have to use a engine which is almost a decade old and 5 speed auto transmission is a joke. It is dissapointing to see Honda coming out with car like this. No more integras, no more prelude, fail with Honda MDX, fail with Honda Legend and now a horrible CRV to be introduced. Rest in peace Honda Soichiro.

  • @1969laulau Like i said Honda keeps it simple..Honda will always be #1in my book. you can keep that other garbage.

  • @rickslick730 you are as dumb as a mule and have no points to back up why this new CRV is any good apart from saying Honda is keeping it simple. Simple doesn't mean lazy and ugly. BMW basic entry 1 series is coming out with 8 speed auto and you being ignorance and obviously have no knowledge whatsoever when it comes to cars. You my friend, are a sad case.

  • @MsBabarino First of all, YOU are BUMB and ARROANT! for taking a automobile so serious!! and second its not a BMW is a HONDA CRV.. and YOU don't have any knowledge not knowing the difference in the two classes, and YOU my friend is bad and sad case. "WHY SO SERIOUS"? Get a life man.

  • I LOVE this CR-V

  • haha 5:45, no one should be a fan of the CRV

  • i think this new crv is way better than that old creepy loser one. i have a friend who had to buy one, and they only reason people buy these ugly freakish "cars" is because they're cheap. I HATE HONDA and anything foreign. And not to be mean, but get out of this country japan, germany and korea (soon china {my WORST nightmare})

  • @CowsRCool2KJHQ I see a future Hitler in the making! Don't worry, they're preparing a place for you in the infernal realm.

  • @aric0913 ha thats funny, and will be when you get a foreign bad for the economy car

  • @CowsRCool2KJHQ You fucking biggot. Where do you live in hick-ville? Fuck Chevy, Chrysler, and Ford. Their products are SHIT and the UAW people should be deported as traitors!

  • @MusicMan0007 haha i love people that think their cool by disgracing things an dusing mean words! but wen im president, th eeconomy will be way baetter because of 1 thing, no foreign cars

  • I am fan of the first gen since it had double wishbone in the front and rear as well as a manual option.

Shame the manual option is gone

  • Yawn!!!!!

  • in my opinion, the 2006 honda cr-v exl in blue or gold with the leather and sunroof is the best looking cr-v out there. were keeping our 06.

  • Why does he always seem to scream through the entire video. He does that on all of them. THE CRV!!!!!!!!!! Jeez don't need to shout

  • The new CRV looks SO good in person, especially the interior!

  • @iggibars

i believe that! ha! jk hideous

  • works for only droid x? does he mean all android phones or only 1 phone?!?

  • When you're 6'4" a large center console isn't a plus. Looks pretty good otherwise. I like the more angular rear side windows vs. the odd, rounded ones from last year.

  • Volcura!!!!!

  • Thanks.

  • Just plain ugly. No flavor at all.. What has honda done to it's self.. They have not only jumped from being quality kings to designing ugly and somewhat offensive vehicles.. Poor Poor Honda.. start doing something before Hyundai really makes a fool out of you..

  • Another bland design

  • Bout time Honda puts a 6 speed automatic in there vehicles, other car manufacturers will have 8 and 9 speeds in theirs. Get with the timeline Honda.

  • @957jamz lol 6 is enough, it sound like u want a 100 speed xD

  • @coolgames14 lol. Nope. I was being sarcastic. lol. I think a 6 speed is enough.

  • @957jamz check again....it still a 5spd

  • Car makers have reach a point where increasing the size of the vehicle doesn't make sense anymore for a redesign. The front of the CR-V is better than last generation, but the overall front is similar to the Santa Fe ... the back is just awkward with the pointy side glass.

  • My dad test drove one of these last year while looking for a decent car for the trail (not hardcore offroading)..anyways he liked the versatility and the Car like handaling of it he disliked the lack of power it had and the plasticky interior..he bought a Subaru Outback

  • I think it's okay. Good for people who just need a reliable vehicle.

  • Ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly ugly! Ewwww! Looks like a smaller Crosstour, which there is NO excuse for! Something familiar from Honda; another ugly vehicle.

  • Never liked the styling of hondas otherwise I know they are reliable.

  • Well, maybe not slipped....more like fell off the cliff. I didn't even consider one Honda before I got my VW CC.

  • Boring!! Honda really has slipped. I miss the days of gun Hondas like my 89 CRX Si in yellow. :-(

  • @vwmatt33 yeah whatever happend to fun..I love cars from the 80's 90's and early 2000's that car is awesome!

  • For being a Japanese car I figure it would have a lot of tech inside it like Blind spot monitoring detection.

Honda is just not what they used to be.

  • looks DISGUSTING. i just threw up.

  • The CR-V is basically a Civic wagon. The tail lights looks like they were inspired by Volvo. Copy cats! Typical Asian hijacking European designs.

  • Looking handsome.

  • only clicked this bc i thought it said CR-Z

  • HES WEARING DIFFERENT CLOTHES! WAHOOO! LMFAAOOO

  • Ugly

  • Thanks for the video!

  • it looks like it has a bigger butt.

  • honda stop copying mitsubishi and range rover with the tailgate stupid honda japs

  • one question, does the CR-V and the Rav4 only Automatic is available?

  • @boobs2323 manual at the low range models but autos at the top of the line

  • @gadgetguy4000 really?.. in here america?

  • @boobs2323 In North America...yes.

  • The rear is disgustingly ATROCIOUS !

  • It's hideous.

  • I like the front, not so much with the back

  • The front and rear are so ugly, but the side profile is nice.

  • The grill looks Crosstour-esque.

  • May I ask? What happened to the track testing @Motorweek?

  • @957jamz It looks like this was shot at the media release party. If you look at the beginning of the video, it's surrounded by about 20 other CRV's

  • why only a 5-speed? cheap move.

  • @MrBoyTuna Toyota RAV4 only has a 4-speed auto in their i4 model.

  • Starts at 22,195 and has a lot of standard features. I'm going to get one when my dealer has one. They sell as soon as they get the 12 in!

  • it looks like a cheaper volvo

  • @andrewerdna100 hah....what about volvo, they built car like tanks xD

  • the front fascia looks like kia

  • The 2013 Ford Escape is better looking and has a hybrid for you. You can see it on the Ford site now.

  • Since you're going to pay $25K for a not base model it really should have a hybrid version. Otherwise I'd prefer a 2012 Prius V which has enough room for tall guys and a station wagon interior.

  • Kind of looks like a Pontiac Aztek in the back doesn't it? Oh well, you spend more time in the inside than looking at the outside anyway. I like CRVs. Perfect size car for single people.

  • 2013 escape looks better and probably perform better than this. Just gotta wait and see.

  • There hasn't been a CRV that's looked good since the first-gen. Why can't Honda make a good looking car anymore? Even the new Civic looks funny.

  • @neostardust if your statement is true, then it's because many many americans like to buy ugly cars.

  • @edbiology LOL! I don't think I can disagree, when you put it that way.

  • @neostardust +1, also acura is taking a dive too

  • @neostardust i think ur just getting old....its like parents that say "what happened to music...it was better during my era"...

  • Really needs a V6 engine to be able to compete with other small SUV's. The RAV4 has about the same horsepower with its i4 engine, but has a massive V6 as well. Or how about making a CR-V Hybrid so it can compete with the Escape Hybrid?

  • Massive A-pillars! Should have crash avoidance if they were going to slap those on, they look even bigger than an Element's or F-150's. Front end is mirroring a bit of Highlander too.

  • Love the new design. Atleast its much better than that god-awful 2012 Honda Civic design...

  • @zorkor you must be American...

  • like the front, hate the back. the interior is ok too. i hope they put a V6 as optional.

also is the nav system a trin level like other Hondas, or is it an option now.

great review, just needed to have more stuffs to make it on top. now its just there w the rest.

  • Sometime a low load floor is not good. Especially for the back when you are leaning over more.

  • I was so hoping for more from the CR-V. Wish they put the 2.3L turbo Vtec engine was put into this car with a little sporty look and feel.

  • more smooth body design like the 2nd gen....unlike that awful botched nose on the 3rd gen....I think it looks pretty good.....inside is really nice, maybe Honda is making a slow comeback in design?

  • rear end is so ugly!
