I dont quite understand your question. ubuntu doesnt take much to get onto the board. go to the beagle board website. there is actually a how to for ubuntu. Its under projects.
nope. The chipset can theoretically output some fantastic number (depending on how it is designed). However, more than 720p is difficult for video, more than 1080 is impossible for video. a suppose 1600p would work in a simple gui, but what whould you use that for?
ubuntu's come a long way. and now with the unity interface, I'm switching to older versions. thumbs up if you hate ubuntu 11.04's UI.

You need to re-compile everything for the ARM architecture.
This means you can only use open-source emulators, basically.
