  • They very first memories I have of my life was when I was 4 years old. My dad brought me up on Queen. I was so inspired by them and we would blast their music over the surround sound. I would hop on the coffee table wearing my dad's elvis wig, holding his guitar and just sing at the top of my lungs every word of their music. My dad has since past due to lung cancer and it's these memories I cherish the most. Thanks freddie, and thank you dad for these wonderful, happy memories! R.I.P. both of u

  • The man killed himself by his perversion. How many little boys that admired him died of aids they got from him. They are the ones I feel sorry for.

  • @moonbean15a What on this planet earth are you talking about? He didnt molest any boys.

  • @sweetlildevil101 I'm sure he must have been "enjoying" his perversion for a long time. What,,you think all people that goes to see concerts are over 21? duh And you know all those he infected with his disease and perversion was not boys? Right!!!!!!!!!

  • @moonbean15a Speak properly please. And stick to real facts lol.

  • I stood infront of Freddie when he was on stage at Live Aid back in 85. He had all 80.000 of us in the palm of his hand and we werent even a Queen audience. He really was the ultimate perfomer. I remember it all like it was yesterday. All other gigs I went to after that meant nothing really. I just stopped going it was never going to be a Queen gig. Sometimes I cant listen to Freddie it just upsets me too much. Love ya Freddie.

  • I kept cryin while watchin this .. I'm 18 and I wish I was there in his time 2 watch him on stage .. He's a LEGEND and will always be one ..love u Freddie <3

  • Re the song at the end 'In My Defence'...I've always been shocked that wasnt more of a hit. Its arguably one of his finest vocal performances, mixing a softer side with a harder rock edge. Something he was great at

  • No one can take it away from the man that he quite literally worked hard doing what he knew and loved best as he was in the final stages of his life, and tried to carry on as usual with no fuss. That speaks for itself that someone who knows theyre dying and can deal with it like that takes complete courage. RIP Fred. Sorely missed

  • This is an absolutely wonderful series! I've been a Queen fan since the mid 1970s. What a legend, no one will ever top Queen or Freddie Mercury. Simply the best band ever!

  • We'll always know you where the wind blows. Much Love and Peace, Freddie Mercury. Your Spirit and Music Live On!

  • freddieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Somebody tell me the name of the song played during the credits, please

  • I love the song at the end (in my defence) its beautiful

  • Genious! Free Spirit! RIP Freddie

  • One thing, One thing, HIS SISTER LOOKS LIKE HIM AND IT'S CREEPY. In a good way

  • What's the name of the song at the end of part 12? I know all the names of the songs, but not the name of this one.

  • @naan1106 in defence-freddie mercury

  • u.u forever freddie forever

  • Although Jim Hutton was his last partner, he showed much more love towards Mary. He most of his possessions were left to her. Hutton did get something, but not like Mary did. And like she said on the program, she's the one that knows where his remains are.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this documentary! I did cry like a baby at the end, but it was well worth seeing Freddie's story. Such a tragic ending to an amazing talent the world will never know again.

  • now there IS a cure.barbra streisands' son has aids (for years!) and he's still alive!

  • @betterinformed There's a difference between having AIDS, and having HIV. Though HIV is the cause for AIDS, you can have HIV without having AIDS. Maybe you should read up on the subject before you go around posting there's a cure for AIDS.

  • @betterinformed : Run to tell it to NASA!!!!! :P

  • i love this whole documentary. thank you for posting!

i love Freddie and I will always wish I was born earlier, during his time.

  • Freddie was an amazing soul...not only was he a musical genius, but a very warm and loving person, and his goodness and warmth was translated in the songs he wrote and sang, which gave me and millions of his fans something which is very hard to find in this day and age- happiness and peace. To hell with those ignorant dolts, who divert all of their energies into commenting on freddie's sexuality rather than living, feeling and appreciating the music he gave us. He was a class apart! I LOVE YOU

  • "no one needs to dig me up, and i just want to rest in peace" rest in peace my friend, thank you work your dedication and for what you leave behind.

  • We still love you too Freddie, and we miss you!

  • AIDS has 12 accounts and he disliked this video 12 times.

no worries AIDS you might have took fred's body away but his soul lives inside of each and everyone of his fans...

  • we still love you....the best band ever in the world...Queen....we still love you Freddie, Brian, Roger, John....love you

  • A legend. He'll never be forgotten.

  • I shall never forget the 24th of November 1991 - it is the day my hero departed this world. However, he lives with us still and will never be forgotten. Freddie, I love you. Rest in peace my angel

  • ITS OBVIOUS HE IS STILL ALIVE LOOK AT 4:03

  • @phoneplanetuk

  • Love his mother, looks like a very dear lady. RIP Freddie we will see you in heaven :)

  • @heartofzorro She does, but I wonder why she wasn't at his side during his last month's being the one to hold his hand.

  • It's just amazing how much Freddie's sister looks just like him!

  • I can't said what i think at the moment.. I'm 21 years old, but Freddie Mercury? Oh he is my hero, my inspiration.. When i feel sad and cry.. i think of him, listening his songs.. and than i'll be sure he is watch down.. and said: Come on, it will be fine! Smile, don't give a fucking damn.. and hold every smile on your face. Freddie dear, i want.. because: I still love you. You are my hero, forever. Hope to meet you in heaven when my time is come.

  • THANK YOU FREDDY FOR ALL YOU HAVE GIVEN US AND SO SORRY FOR THE LITTLE YOU GOT BACK FOR IT! :'( WE ARE THANKFULL FOREVER AND YOU ARE BEING MISSED!

  • Thank you! Freddie was an inspiration! If you can make people love, and be kind, then you have accomplished much! Through rock he taught a lesson in life, and he payed the price. Freddie if you could put in a good word for me to God, it would be appreciated!

  • really inspiring. makes me think about how easy it is to leave this life. just can't take anything for granted.

  • @mrFudgyTV: I saw Queen in Seattle, the last three times they did tours in the U.S. I saw a lot of rock bands when I was young, but Queen always put on the best shows. Most lights, best sound, always over the top. And you couldn't take your eyes off Freddie... he really was that much fun to watch.

  • I am 43 years now and feel very fortunate growing up with Freddies music.

So maybe iet's a bit easier for me to say we all have to accept this lovely man is dead.Give his Spirit some peace not wanting him being alive for the sake of us.

Pure love has no bouderies.Just still love him!

  • the lords of medicine dont find cures, they find treatments for the symptoms.. thats how they can garentee that they all have jobs and plenty of business, with plenty of pay, to pay off their ridiculously large medical school loans, and of course buy lots of expensive things...and send their kids to top schools...and government will always make sure you feel threatened, they have to keep you scared, so youll hand over all your rights and money, and give them power and millions of high pay jobs

  • R.I.P. Freddie Mercury!

    The best singer ever! (forever)

  • This is the part that always tears me up.. hearing it all how it hapenned, then In My Defence closing. Couldn't be more heart-wrenching.

  • Such a touching documentary explaining from birth to death !

  • what's the song at the credits?

  • @gdsc4 In my defence

  • Also, what is the title of the song at the end?

What a fabulous documentary by the way. Very moving, very sad, but he is also an inspiration for how brave he was.

  • @forsoup The song is called In My Defence. It is a Freddie Mercury solo song.

  • I'm 21 years old, and when I'm at Festivals, in clubs, I keep thinking that maybe one day a band will come out with half of the joy and happiness that I feel with Queen.

And all I get is autotuned, non-songwriting singers, rappers, and repetitiveness.

Freddie, Roger, Brian, John, thanks for leaving a legacy that I can appreciate, even though I wasn't there.

I hope that speaks volumes for what you have achieved, and I'll try to pass on your legacy to the next generation.

    We Still Love You.

  • @forsoup maybe one day I'll be able to do this for you, for soup

  • Where is music nowadays? it's all noise blended poorly with stupid lyrics, hi tech videos and you are a hit provided you look as insane, bitchy and sad as one could be. I don't even remember when was the last time i listened to a new song...and I don't really care much for that?

  • Such a fulfilling story of one life with such a tragic end.

One thing is sure ,without Freddie and his music ,world would be a much darker place.

  • why isn't there a blockbuster movie about queen? we've seen Ray, and The Doors!

  • @flipsy87

Theres one in the pipe lines, Sasha Baron Cohen is being considered to play him.

  • @tellul8r brian may announced he would be playing it. Filming is suppose to start this year, you cant find a whole lot about it on the internet right now though

  • @tellul8r are u lying? because i know he would definately look like him except hes abit too tall

  • @flipsy87

No i'm serious, that's why they approached him, because he looks like him, but Sacha always said no, not sure what the final outcome was though!

  • there is something inexplicably good about the way he says "im just me."

  • Rest In Peace, Darling

  • Wow thanks for posting. I'm here, sobbing away. I'm glad he died peacefully but oh wow, the question still remains why. He died too soon. I'd love to hear the future songs he could have made, the ones he took with him. God bless you Freddie, i'll never forget. I wish i could have met you...maybe in another life xxx

  • Rest in Peace Fred. You deserve it.

Just know that well love you so much

    <3

  • If I could watch any artist that can not be seen today it would be Queen. My life would not be what it is today without the music Queen bought the world. Freddie is missed by people today who wernt even alive when he was. He is amazing. Always will be. RIP

  • aids is a terrible thing..

  • I teared up after watching this.

  • @Lonley01 me too.....such a sweet man and a brave one!

  • i love all the queen albums i own them all i also own some unreleased trax and alot of rare stuff. I have to say my top 3 queen albums are (Queen II) (The Game) (The Works) I also have a rare concert in avi format that i stumbled across called the ledgendary concert live at the Hammersmith Odeon and another rare one called thru time and space. if anyone wants these just get ahold of me via msn messenger and i will send them FREE! silverhorse2009@hotmail.com

  • The Tears are just flowing as I watch this. This is truly so heartbreaking. A true loss to this world when we lost Freddie. A very sad day indeed. I will never forget that day. The pain never leaves your heart. I miss you Freddie!! R.I.P. friend. Forever loved and forever missed. ♥♥

  • i didnt think i'd even bother to feel sad when this was over, i really have a wall up against crying, it just wont happen, but i did have tears in my eyes, i just didnt let them out due to the fact that there are people around. but at the end, around 6:06, the part where he jumps on that guy, i laughed may ass of.

this documentary is fabulous and amazing. im 13 and Freddie is the only person who id do anything for. i love every thing about Queen, the good and the bad, and i love Freddie Mercury

  • @maximumridechik sorry, i mean im 14

  • "Thank you for spending the afternoon with an old man." That made me cry. :'(

I'm 15 and I love Freddie and Queen. I was born the wrong generation, I really wish I could've seen him live. If you put every single popular artist nowadays in one big heap and compared the amount of talent they have and the amount of talent Freddie had, it'd be something like 0.01 to 1,000,000,000,000,000. Words cannot express the happiness his music has brought me and everybody I know.

  • @MrFudgyTV your comment made me very, very proud. I am about a quarter of a century older than you, and more than anything I wish you could have been there to see the band and Freddie play at Wembly. You would have LOVED it. And he would be very happy to know he has a fan from another generation. The rest of the band that is surviving him would love to know it too. God Bless.

  • @MrFudgyTV When I was 17 in 1973 there were two radio programs I listen to, one top 10 at Saturdays, and a top 20 on Tuesdays. Once they played songs just outside the top 20 and I heard Keep yourself alive for the first time. That change my life forever cuz when I bought the album, it was not just great music, it opened up a whole musical universe. I asked my brother what's so special about Queen. He said it is the harmonies. I believe he was right. They were geniuses.

  • @MrFudgyTV I never saw Queen live either. I admired Freddie's personality even though he was gay I still loved him and his music. Rest in Peace Freddie we sill love you.

  • I like very much your great comment. That really true

  • @MrFudgyTV i am in the same boat as you. i'm also 15, i agree with everything you said and i cried when she said that too

  • @MrFudgyTV You're beyond your years my friend....nice to see.

  • @MrFudgyTV It would have been great for you to have seen him, but Freddie's music is timeless:)

  • @MrFudgyTV are you me?? i am the exact age and i feel the exact same way

  • @MrFudgyTV I saw him live just the once. My sister was a member of the uk queen fan club. We were invited to be in the "we are the champions video" I was about 10 & I didnt understand the banner waving and the adulation and refused to join in. So Freddie gave me a stare until I did lol. But that day they were incredibly precise..they cut two takes of the song and it was so spot on they didnt need any more. They then gave us a private gig of all their songs to date. I will never forget that.

  • Amazing

  • 0:16 - 0:36 is heartbreaking

  • Yea, it was very touchy when she said once Freddie thanked her for spending her afternoon with an old man.Its incredibly sad when you imagine the miracle, the show Freddie (with Queen alongside,of course) gave us and then the illness just came up, drained a life from him and the death said: "Well, yes, you all were having a good time but now it is time for him to come with me." And that was just the end. The magnificent Freddie passed away one day and his era is gone - but his music stays alive!

  • you were never an old man

  • 0:17 is heartbreaking

  • give killdoser123 more thumbs up if you miss Freddy and like Queen!

  • Coming soon to a theater near you.

Freddie ( Not too sure about the tittle).

    With Sasha Cohen as Freddie.

  • u maybe could be an old man but u will be a legend until the end

We love you Freddie Mercury. From: all your fans Freddie Mercury 1946-1991

  • Thank you so much for posting this, it was really great. Am i the only one who cried at part 12?

  • @mintiiq no ur not

  • @mintiiq I cried at part 12 and 11 :(

  • @mintiiq I think that everybody cried. :(

  • @mintiiq I could help crying when he said that you for spending the afternoon with an old man

  • @tildeath666 Me to! That was so sad.

  • I wish I had AIDS

  • @savemyplaylist ???????????????????

  • @tdevil101 It's been 5 months and I now have it!!!! It's the best thing that ever happened to me!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this!!!!

  • Great documentary including more footages of Zanzibar, St Peters school. Great reenactments. I wanna know what is the name of the CD that contain all the Queen songs in piano played throughout the documentray. Wonderful. Also recommend Freddie Mercury Magic Remix. VH1's Legend is OK but too short.

  • It's hard to live as gay in this world especially at that time. It took over 10 years for Kenny Everett to come out from closet. He felt miserable in relationship with girl but was happy once he come out. It's because there are so many idiots saying that being gay is wrong that I don't wonder why many people are scared. Lucky we have nowdays gay marriage and lots gayclubs where people can be themself who they really are. In past, it was all harder especially if you were famous.

  • So dear friends Your love is gone Only tears to dwell upon I dare not say As the wind must blow So a love is lost A love is WON Go to sleep and dream again Soon your hopes will rise And then from all this gloom Life can start anew And there'll be no crying soon We love you freddie
  • (comment 2) as for the comments that refer to (faith, spirituality and religious devotion etc) i myself dont follow any religon and never will thats my choice. so before people like this judge, look at your own kind first and you will find a portion of your own little religon/cult (which is what most of them are) are themselfs up to no good, I.E. choir boys etc....that is if your not already up to no good yourself?

  • @MrHoweller Those who bring "religion" into the arena like this are merely trying to moralise, and as all religions force theirs as the right way, they have no credence. Bollocks to religion, real life goes on.By the way I was a choir boy(not by choice) and certainly did not seek the attention (sexual) that it brought ,that was 100% down to all and every pervert in the church.

  • (comment 1)to all the neggy comments, to the best of my knowledge freddie got sick when we lived in a world that was not aware of hiv/aids so why would you need/want/have to be as careful as we all should be today (now that we understand & can treat this illness more) most people put in a position where they could live the lifestyle they dreamed of, which freddie did! would also do the same. i would.

  • @MrHoweller He could just as easily got the clap, you are so right ,but lets not kid ourselves women carry this killer too!

  • Freddy lives for ever and I hope to meet him some where some time.. who knows what happens next! I enjoy his voice almost everyday and I'm soooo thanksful for that!

I'm prowd of you Freddy no matter what.. :)

  • We here all love Freddie and many have made or given him a pass, but the truth is, if Freddie had NOT indulged the homosexual lifestyle he would be here today. Freddie was an amazing person but like us all, he had his faults. Freddie's problem was that he indulged his faults to the extreme...sleeping around, being gay. And you what its not popular to believe but being gay is a big choice. Still love him though and he is the best forever!!!

  • @1980Triumph Gosh! Please read my reply to Mr Howeller above,Being gay is NOT a choice, you are born gay or not.Sleeping around as you call it is natural and getting infected with an STD is a real possibility gay or not,we should all use protection, sorry but you are really naive in your opinion.Freddie was a great guy and a huge talent, even he knew the score of his lifestyle,as do we all.If you see being gay as a fault then you really are being a bit moralistic. Never mind good luck.

  • @MrChrissy1r

Sorry but being gay is a choose and/or something that a person suffers from but can be cured. Freddie made mistakes, we love him but he made two very bad choices..homo lifestyle and the multiple sex partners he indulged in.

  • @1980Triumph Could you actually explain to me what is wrong being gay? Is it only because they can't reproduce? Who cares? Life is overpopulated and it's still growing. If anything being gay actually saves nature and environment and fact that we won't be forced to go 1 child policy like china does. Gay people don't do harm to anyone and if anything Freddie is good example of it but it seems like you don't respect him at all. Only mistake that he ever made was that he didn't use condom.

  • @kungiiii

Condom, or not we shall all fear of all the diseases out there. There may not be nothing wrong of being gay after all everyone is free to do what ever they want. However, how come Aids is more common in gay men? And what about anal cancer? How come gay men are more common to have this disease? Or women who practice anal sex? I can agree with you that being gay is not wrong, but when I see this statistics it makes me think is it really ok to be gay?

  • @Molonca Because men are more active in sex life+different partners compared women. Women are totally different planet from men when it comes to sexual activity. There is reason why 99% of men and less than 1% women watch porn. Also having sex with female in certain conditions is also good way to get HIV. It doesn't make it anymore "cleaner" than being gay.

  • @kungiiii

    Yes, I agree.

  • @1980Triumph Also if you watched whole document you would realize that only reason he broke up with Mary was because he was more intrested in men. He was sad in relationship but when he come out from closet he can be natural himself. They were only best friends nothing else.

  • @kungiiii

I know but if you watch the documentary on "Night at the Opera"...the songs and stuff, they say Mary was the love of his life. Also most people don't leave their best friend everything, he left more to Mary than any of his boyfriends including Jim. They became friends but Freddie was deep in his homosexual perversion...though at times he did sleep with women.

  • @1980Triumph Loving your friend is different thing than loving your partner. Mary said in this documentary that reason they broke up because Freddie got courage to tell her that he was gay. After he broke up mary, Freddie didn't date single girls, just guys. Watch 6th part. He felt more happy being with guys in london gayclub scene than having relationship with Mary. Freddie just wanted to be normal friends with her, there is nothing more than that and never really been.

  • @kungiiii

Yes but Freddie did have sex with women off and on after Mary, mostly men but women here and there. He lived with a woman for a short time in 1985....watch the documentary Freddie Loves...it should be here on youtube and you will see. Freddie mainly dated men, but I do believe Mary was a love of his life and that is why he left her everything. Some people do remain friends with there ex's and so did Freddie.

  • @1980Triumph he had only 1 relationship with woman after mary and I doubt it was real love as it didn't even last and most likely he didn't even had sex with her. Seriously allmost all of them are nothing but men. If he was bi then why his house was full of guys? Why he spend most of time gayclubs? Also search documentary "Freddie Mercury guests in Kenny Everett's show". There were even more men. Mary was only his best friend. Being friend and lover are two completely different things.

  • @kungiiii

I agree it was mostly men, but Freddie did have sex with women from time to time. Watch in Freddie Loves how they talk about how he lived with a woman for a short time in 85. Freddie did spend most his time with men, especially after they became famous, he was in full swing at that time, but even during those times he did sleep with women......very few compared to the men but he did. They even mention how when he was young he had crushes on girls when he was a little boy.

  • @1980Triumph I think you really need to look deep in yourself and try to broaden your mind. I'm a gay man. I am attracted to men. It was not a choice or an illness. Lord knows I wouldnt volunteer to experience the hatred of narrow minded people that I've had to face. And Freddie did not live with a woman in 1985. He was with his long term partner who he often introduced as his husband. And he was his lover right up to the very end when Freddie died of AIDS.

  • @RicanPapi2385

    I agree fully with you.

  • ohhh Freddie please, please come back-....

  • Eternally the enternainer, white vest, stonewashed jeans, Adidas trainers....and an audience in the palm of his hand. RIP the great Freddie Mercury.

  • it's a shame he didn't smoke pot.. probably would have lived for several more years ;(

  • @SocratesTheGadfly There are many individuals who are born into a faith and do not practice their faith, and this was the case with Freddie. He was buried in the traditional Zoroastrian ceremony and this was probably for his parents' sake. I am Christian, but that doesn't stop me from opening my mind to others' beliefs and respecting them. I am speaking from personal experience, as I have family members who are homosexual, and no evil lurks within! Open your heart! Love transcends all!

  • bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11340336

  • what is the name of the song during credits? I love it can some one tell me
