And second... (on a more happy note)... I was walking in the street with a friend, when suddenly I heard the cry of a kitten. He was there, below a bridge, crying out for help to the people passing by. He was so dirty and thin... I couldn't leave him. I took him with me, and when I grabbed him and was carying him, he would look me into my eyes like saying... "Thank You"... that was 4 years ago. Today, when I go to the store, he walks the way with me. It's incredible... Cats ftw 4 ever!!

Reminds me of two things I'll never forget...

First, when my 15yo kitty died just a month ago. She was dying, and was not going to make it, so we put her to sleep, because I would have been horrible to see her unable to eat and die of starvation... but I remained with her till the end, and she knew I was there and kissed her good-bye. I loved her so much

Animal shelters are hard pressed for money as it is, or else they wouldn't euthanize those that don't get adopted. They can't afford to give each cat or dog its own mini motel room.
