To be honest, under the law, taking pictures on public road is allowed, however taking pictures on public road into private areas such as the interior of a house or ie. the inside of Dolce & Gabanna is actually illegal. In addition to that, I have not seen a video of Dolce & Gabanna saying that only people from China or other countries can take pictures and that Hong Kong people are not allowed to take pictures, it could have been a made up statement from apple news to provoke Hong Kong people.

Do you really sure taking pictures "into private areas" (directly quote from your words) is "illegal" (or you mean prohibited)? What you mean is privacy, right? Then, as a global brand, a wall should be built instead of glass to preserve that inexplicable privacy!

Taking pictures outside, does not mean taking pictures into the store.

You can take pictures as long as the content of the picture does not show the interior of the shop and also I did not mean prohibited, it is illegal.

If you're saying a wall should be built instead of glass to preserve privacy, are you going to cover your window in your flat if I was taking pictures into your flat from another building?

Yes, good point. Let me further elaborate, it is something about logic: If I meet you on the street, and don't want you to see my face, I will wear mask to cover it; if I don't, that mean I don't mind to show my face to others (if you see me face and I blame you, it is my fault). Meanwhile, if I want to protect my privacy (say, changing clothes in my room, I will pull down the curtains. (if I haven't pull down the curtain and you shot me outside, my fault)

You're off topic. The whole point is that taking a 'hard copy picture' is not allowed.

This can be seen as a breach of copyright.

In addition to that, there are many other laws which can be used if you think pictures of other peoples property is legal. (when it isn't legal)

Taking pictures of the members of staff can be seen as harassment, this means that if it causes the other individuals distress, mentally or physically can also be seen as criminal offence.
