don't know if anyone else saw l'enfant but this remind really reminded me of that one. mostly the scenes of walking, no score, foreign language, and have to do with getting rid of a baby. l'enfant came out in 05 so i can see how cristian mungiu got some influences and ideas from that movie. but this one, very good. i'll have to watch it again on dvd incased i missed anything but definitely a big thank you for putting this up.

If you had paid any attention then you would have noticed that the man was just doing his job. The man didn't satisfy any sexual appetite; He inserted a metal rod to kill a fetus. If you think that has anything to do with sexual appetite i'm afraid you're a little lost. By the way the girl in fact never said any form of REAL thank you. Barfing a quiet 'thank you' somewhere in the movie almost unnoticedly isn't what i call being greatful. I suggest you rewatch.

he made such a case about the receptionist getting his ID and at the end she left it there.. among other clues

As you can see , I think the menu is a main point of symbolism . The woman who was pregnant seems as if she is trying to repress the abortion . The blonde seems remorseful .

This is the second film---the fist one, the argentinian film, The Offical History---in the last couple of weeks that has deeply moved me.

I realize that the purpose of a film is to make you believe the story, to get you to follow it, but the oustanding thing about this film is its sincerity and naked reality which makes it so good and believable.
