I'm not sure if you're talking about both wars or a specific one, but neither the Iraq or Afghan government can support itself right now. If NATO leaves there's only enough manpower to secure the cities, the extremist groups get most of the countryside and are free to rebuild since there's no pressure on them. Iraq might have some chance with massive aid but Afghanistan doesn't, and it'll go back to having no central government and being controlled by warlords. Unless Pakistan invades :P
